Not sure if anyone remembers, but a little while ago I posted about Penny running to the door when we leave. I was worried that she'd sneak out. Someone suggested to train her to "wait". Well, a little over a week ago she finally got "sit" and "stay". Two days ago I started "wait". I'd tell her to "sit" and "wait" and I kept saying "wait" until I got to the front door, opened it and stepped through. Then I'd step back in and reward her. I'd say after about five times, she got it. She was sooooo stubborn about the whole "sit" thing, but once she gave in it seems she wants to learn more. YEAH PENNY!!!:bounce:

It is great watching the light bulb go on! I wish I could get my boys to do that now :) I have been giving them a treat when I hear the doorbell open... so they run to their spots they eat their treats... (never the same... but away from the front door :D )

Isn't it wonderful when they get to that point were it is starting to all just work for both of you.
