One way to tell if someone is a good partner is to introduce them to the dog(s). I remember breaking up with a guy after he let me know how he felt about my "kids" -- that they belong it the backyard. He is gone, they stayed!

I had one guy I was dating actually give me "the Choice" between him and my dogs....I live alone with them. Any indication how I voted? They are too important to me and if someone isn't going to love them as I do, then I want no part of him!:fierce:

I'm so happy Donovan loves these guys as much as I do. We're both dog people- but I'm a little more "nutty" about them, I suppose. I love that man- but he knows where I stand on my dogs... they are not going to be mistreated, spoken to harshly, or left wanting love. I firmly believe he isn't capable of any of that (duh!)- but if he ever changed his mind, he'd be out. One of the things I love most about him is his kind heart- if he stopped being that person... I wouldn't be able to love him anymore. It's as simple as that.

with Mark. He loves the kids as much as I do and makes over them just about as much as I do. He knows and has known from day one where he stood when it comes to my pups. He raises his voice and I am right there wanting to know what is going on. When Missy ate the whole in the new carpet as big as she is he never got mad or upset. All he said was I guess we'll tile that room sooner than we thought.

I've loved Harrison Ford since Stars Wars. Gonna have to rethink that one.
My motto, love me love my pets. Fortunately my husband Oscar feels the same way..... well perhaps not quite as much but he is very understanding. Calista ought to dump his b***. :D

That's why I'd rather have my dogs than my humans.
