We spend 90% of our time in the kitchen, and I thought if she could see us, she wouldn't feel so isolated. What do you folks suggest<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm6.gif" border=0> <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm6.gif" border=0>

I use the plastic crate for my puppy. He loves it and does very well (although, we are working on getting him to sleep thru the night, but he is doing much better).

The great thing about the plastic (airline carrier) crates is that you can easily put them in the car for traveling places. Also, if your dog prefers it once he/she is fully house trained, you can remove the top of the crate and make it into a dog bed.

My puppy actually does better in the more "cave like" setting of the plastic crate. It is smaller than the wire and more "cozy".

With the plastic crates, they are easier to carry since they have a handle and are light weight.

I just prefer the plastic kind.

As a side note, we just came back from a car trip where we drive 4 hours at a stretch and our puppy LOVED riding in his crate in the car. He slept the entire time we were driving and felt very comfortable even if he was awake in the crate.
