Finally, Grace is scratching on the door to go out. After many accidents and lots of carpet spot cleaning it's been a while since I've had to clean up urine.
The only thing is now that she has figured how to go out she scratches when she wants to go dig too. Oh, well, just glad she finally figured it out!

Congratulations http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif You must be so relieved. We would be too if ours went and scratched at the back door. Enjoy your success.

Gracie is doing VERY well! Our Annie didn't learn to ask at the door until she was about 2 years old. She's now 4, and I'll occasionally find her sitting by the back door staring at me reproachfully--but she doesn't bark or scratch to go out!
Now, if I'm working upstairs and she needs to go out, she'll sit and the bottom of the stairs and SHOUT at me--"Hey! Somebody needs to go out here!"

Have had Sasha since Tuesday, she started sleeping with the second night(thanks to my husband)we had a busy weekend, so she was crated more than I wanted. This little girl is wonderful(or either I am, LOL) she has not soiled anywhere, and wakes me up promptly at 6:00am to let her out and feed her. I am a little worried, thinking that this is short lived, but so far, so good. I am going to start her next week to ring the bell to go out. She is a wonder addition to our family, and my husband is in love with her(the person that didn't want a dog) bragging about her with all of the family today. My greatest fear was this potty thing, but it seems to be good so far.
