I have had Sasha since Tuesday, I have been diligent about taking her out and she has not spoiled once, of course she sleeps in the bed with us, but we go to bed at 11:00 and she promptly wakes me up at 6:00, goes out then has her breakfast. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, this was my main concern about a doxie, but so far she is a miracle. And so cute, b/t longhair

You are soooooooo lucky. Our two guys are 13 mo. and 8 mo. and still not housebroken. I was talking to the lady who owns our pet store in town and she is also a daschie owner. Her girl is not housebroken either and her husband has said, 'no more dashies.' Enjoy your success - and congrats.

I am bringing my 4 month old doxie boy home this week end. I am hoping he will be old enough now to train easy. He has been living with other doxies in a kennel so I am hoping he has not developed bad habits. But the breeder is very clean so I know he is use to be in a clean area. I have not trained a doxie in 9 years so I hope we are successful. I am planning on using a crate at night and during the day while training.
