Amanda is hanging in there. It's kind of up and down, but she's still eating and doing okay. This morning she was really hungry. Yesterday, she wasn't as interested. She's having trouble getting up so I carry her out to go potty in the morning and bring her back in and give her some food and her medicine right away which makes her feel better. She kind of weak, but not as anxious as she was last week. At least not today. It's really a day by day thing. Somedays she's doing good, some days not so good. And wouldn't you know it, my vet's father died so she's out of town and I haven't been able to get Amanda in for a followup visit. Isn't that always when things happen when the vet's out of town?
I appreciate everyone's concern. The rayz have helped immensely. Both Amanda and myself.

Wow- no fun. But I'm glad it's not awful news. I sure hope Amanda's good days start outnumbering the off ones. And boy, it must be hard for you to watch it all. I know you must feel helpless- but you're really doing so well with her. More rays for BOTH of you: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz:

Sending more rays. Remember your attitude can have a big impact. If you start feeling too down Amanda can pick up on that fact and might feel depressed as well. One of the good things about going to a vet clinic like the one I go to is that there is always someone on call 24x7. Off hour call get you an answering service but then a follow up call from who ever is on call withing five minutes or less. I've lost count but believe there are about six vets on staff. There is one vet that we have seen more than any other and have grown to like him despite not being overly impressed with him the first time I saw him. He the orthopedic specialist and the one who did Tanner's accupuncture last summer.

More rays are on their way from Waco. Hope you didn't have any of those Conroe Tornadoes in your area!
Patrice, I know exactly how you feel, we had a tragedy last week and my vet was in Hawaii.
Sending prayers and mega rayz :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: to Amanda for her to hang in there.

I saw a couple of your pictures... she is such a pretty girl! I hope she will be doing better soon. It's always a hard time when our little seniors are not doing well, even one as tough as Amanda!
