seems the family kinda gave up too soon huh? Or maybe they just didn't want to actually SEE their dog dead in the hole. I am glad it turned out happy!

Hmmmm, is right. There is no way I would have ever left that area without knowing if the pupper was dead or not. Rather odd to me. Sounds as if they did little to rescue that poor baby. :confused:
