Just found that sitstay.com has a door bell for your dog so he/she can let you know when they have to go out, I wonder if this would work. Bells never worked with Oscar, he just thought it was a big game and kept pulling off the wall and door.

That would be great for the exception of our dog never lets us know when he needs to go out. In fact in the morning, he is so funny...like he is so sleepy. Most dogs when you get the leash out go crazy..We have to literally pull him to go out. Once he is out though..he loves to be out. We take him for walks 4 times a day so he can't make a mistake although we don't have him run of the house during the day. He is confined. Still need a lot of work on that. I think it will be a very slow process. I wonder why he doesnt' let us know. Most dogs, sniff, go in circles, go to the door, something. We are clueless. We are also trying the go on command routine. We've been doing this for at least a month. Don't think he is gonna adhere to that. We are the foolish looking ones saying, "park" and "hurry up" and he just looks at us and waits until he finds his perfect spot. I think wer'e in for a freezing winter....

Oscar never lets us know either, wondering if I could train him to use that door bell thing. He's the same way in the morning, so sleepy. If he's slept in our bed that night, in the morning he'll keep crawling further under the blankets so I have to drag him out from under them. Aren't they cute though?
