I just got an email that Dachshund Rescue of Houston is going to be on Animal Planet this Wednesday, June 16th at 9:00 pm, 12:00 am and 4:00 am CDT here in Houston. It will showcase how DROH works with Houston SPCA in their Pet Partners program and feature a puppy mill rescue who was spayed and socialized and then adopted into a loving home. I'm so excited that we're getting this exposure. Maybe it will help us to get more qualified homes to adopt to.

Do you know what show it will be on so I can try to look for it? I'm in a different time zone so it might be a different time here.

Great! I'll be sure to watch it, of course I usually watch animal cops houston, detroit, and of course animal precint. I love the end of the shows when they show the dogs in new loving homes! That's the best part of the show for me!!

I saw it and now I know why I don't watch that show. .....I :crying: at the sight of those animals! The doxie was sooooo skinny and scared! But it was a happy ending w/a foster home for her  and for a beautiful beagle too:flower: But those horses! :crying:

Yes, I watched it. They didn't give the name of the dachshund rescue, but it was nice to see her with her foster family and the other doxies. Yes, those horses were a sad story. Those poor beagles too! :crying: At least they were able to save one of them.

got me! :crying: It's amazing though...the outside ones were still wagging their tails happy as can be..even living in filth....dogs are just so adaptable.

I thought they said that Dachshund Rescue of Houston was one of their ASPCA affiliates. I too was taken by the beagle in the wooden box.

While I had missed this thread I did happen to catch the show last night. I seldom watch those shows because it's very difficult for Frank to sit still and not get up on all fours barking at the animals on TV. As hard as it is to watch these shows imaging the frustration, hear break and yet also joys of a happy outcome that must be part of the every day world for the dedicated animal control offices. We owe them a big than you for all their hard work and efforts.
Yes, I got to see the show, I watch it just about every night. That little Doxie girl was SO cute, she's probably adopted by now. Tucker was certainly one happy camper in his foster home.

She has been adopted and is doing very well in her new home.
Patrice thanks for the info, I'm so glad to hear the good news that she has been adopted. She was such a happy little cutie running along with the other Dachsie's. :jacks:   :jacks:
