Hi there!
New puppy and lots of questions :)
For toys, what in the world is a Kong? I've seen people writting about it, but what is it? Do I need one?
Also, what are some good puppy treats? I don't know if puppies are suppose to have certain kinds, or not certain kinds. I want to give Sprink a treat when he potties outside and stuff, but I don't want to make him sick.
Any help would be most appreciated. :)

is a hard rubber toy with openings that you can stuff with little treats or peanut butter, etc. Dogs like to play with them to get the stuff out... people like them because they keep the dog busy for awhile  and they are pretty safe because the rubber is hard and doesn't tear up easily (the black ones work for hard chewers).
The 2nd bone from the left at top of screen is the DBB store (a portion of profits support the board) and they sell Kongs - here is the link if you want to read more...

you can always use small pieces of the kibble you feed (dogs surprisingly seem to think anything you hand them is a treat). Other treats tend to be higher in fat than food, so just use tiny pieces - we used to give just little bits of Milk-Bone puppy biscuits. There are little liver bites that are made for training, too. Old Mother Hubbard makes a lot of tiny treats; those are what I usually use.
You can also bake your own healthy treats, if you are not as lazy as I am.:circle:
I'm sure someone else will have some suggestions here on treats their puppy liked.

I like to yse Old Mother Hubbards Bitz They are little bittie treats that I don't have to break up... they are smaller then most kibbles.
PetsMart sells them as well as a lot of other places.
