Standard doxie in piebald?

<img border="0" alt="[Wave]" title="" src="graemlins/wavey.gif" /> Anyone ever seen a standard piebald patterned dachshund? I looked high and low and only found a mini. Would love to see a standard.

Nope, never seen one; never heard of anyone reputable that I know even attempting to breed one (course my world could be quite small). Could be the standard people don't want to go through having as many puppies as it would take to GET to the piebald :) Since both parents either have to be or be carrying the gene, they most likely are going to have to start out breeding 'up' from a miniature piebald and many probably wouldn't find a miniature they like - especially since it would have to be the boy because they aren't going to breed a mini piebald girl to a standard :)
