Has anyone given their doxies the Missing Link Supplement? I am thinking about trying it for Penny. Please let me know how it worked for you or what your thoughts are on it.
Thanks!! Janet and Penny :-) :)

I have a friend who shows labs and swears it has helped one of her dogs when he had a coat problem. I tried it with Aggie and again once with the boys. I can't say I noticed any difference when I was using it and since it is rather expensive I'm no longer using it. I/m sure the amount of suscess you have differs with each individual animal. As with any supplement you need to use it for at least eight weeks before you can say it's not helping.

Absolutely! It is the greatest thing for many dogs that have hair and skin problems. I don't think the glucosamine formula (Missing Link Plus) is as good as ProMotion for older dogs. I seem to get all the problem dogs from Central Texas Dachshund Rescue and have gotten 3 dogs that had next to no hair from flea allergies and skin infections. Waco (Dr. Dre) at CTDR's web site is one of the 3 that it really worked on. Expensive, but worth it! See CTDR Happy Endings. Rena

I've used it for much of the past 3 years with all my dogs. When they're on it regularly you can see that their coats are shinier and feel very silky. It's now the only coat and skin supplement I bother with. I use the version with glucosamine, although I don't know how potent or effective it is compared with something like Cosequin, but I figure it can't hurt.

I think the impact of any supplement can be greatly dependent on the diet that you dog is currently eating. In my case feeding AVO-Derm we don't seem to gain much with The Missing Link but others using a different diet might bmefit greatly. Frank always has received many complements on how smooth silkey his coat is. tnaaer who had such a rough coat that some people felt he migh have some wire in his background has smoothed out and is looking quite good.

When we first got Dolly, she was 1 1/2 years old but acted like she was a li'l ol' lady. After geting her on a premium food (I think I started her on Solid Gold then switched to Flint River Ranch and currently on Innova) we started the Missing Link. MARVELOUS results. She just plain LOOKS and FEELS better. I really like Missing Link and would recommend it.

We don't use Missing Link but do use a supplement called Nupro. Their website is www.nuprosupplements.com I prefer this to Missing Link as Missing Link has 75% flax seed while Nupro has many other nutrients and vitamins other than flax however, each dog responds differently. So if it works, stick with it!

We had a long-haired cat named Scruffy, for good reason. When I heard about the Missing Link on a local radio program, we tried it and it worked wonders on the old boy. After we got Ziggy (our rescue) he seemed to shed excessively. We feed them all Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice. So, I bought the canine Missing Link. Each night my husband cooks them a dinner, consisting of a little low fat cottage cheese, maybe a few pieces of meet and a vegetable such as green beans, broccoli, etc. On top of this he puts a teaspoon or so of Missing Link. All 3 dogs coats are splendidly shiny and the shedding is really at a minimum. We feel it helps.
