Our breeder uses Canidae for her dogs and I will begin using it, too once Blitz gets here. Any of you use Canidae from puppyhood on? Any pros/cons?

Canidae is a very good premium dog food (it's one of the top 10). I've used it, although I didn't know about it when Freddie was a pup. I tend to switch around periodically. I've been feeding Innova, but I'm switching over to Wellness because it has lower fat. But the foods I've used are: Innova, Canidae, Pinnacle, Wellness.

The Canidae is a good food, thought I have found out that even though it is a all stages of life it may be better to wait untill the pup is six months. At least in my case. I have been feeding my litter the Canidae and have found out even though it is lower in protien 24% that is still too much. But I also gave them extra protien in their food as well. I just went and got a 21% protien food and I should know in a few days if it is going to work out. Your dog may need more protien like up to 28%. Inova puppy and Cal natural puppy I think are at the 26-28% range. Though generally speaking a lot of larger breeds need the less protine. Apparently the pups are getting some flat feet and it can be corrected with diet. My pups are not utilizing all of the protine. But this may not be the same in your case. If you pup is going to be doing a lot of exersize, running around a lot then I would stick with the Canidae. When I had my litter evauluation they sugested an all stages of life food. They said that the food on the market is so rich now days and may be to much for the pups. This is some stuff I have learned recently and like I said may or may not work with your pup. I also switch my dog food around periodically because my dogs do like the variety and it is not hard on their system. Some dogs have a more sinsitive stomach. I hope that helps.

We are getting a mini lh - I'm not sure if you have minis or standards. Took a look at a site that sells quite a few different brands of high-quality natural dog/cat foods. All of the puppy-specific foods were at least 26% protien. There were a couple of foods that were geared for adults that were around 20% (avoderm, off the top of my head). It will be interesting to hear about the results of your test!
