Say a prayer for Daisy

It's 6am here and I have been up most of the night with Daisy, she is acting as if her back is hurting, not moving much, when she does very slowly, tail tucked, and a very dull look in her eyes. It is hard to tell when she is not feeling well because she is a very stoic dog and doesn't complain, she just becomes withdrawn. Yesterday afternoon she acted a little off but I thought it was because my son was here with his 3 doxies but overnight she has seemed more uncomfortable. I had a bad feeling late yersterday night when Rusty became very protective of her, he would lay by her and if the other dogs got to close he would run them off.
I have already crated her and will have her at the vets first thing this morning. Unfortunately, Lynn's office doesn't open until 730 and the vets don't arrive until around 830 which right now seems like an eternity

Good for you for imposing strict crate rest immediately. Some people have to be ordered to by their vet and igore it . . . some reluctantly obey and others just do it cuz it's the only thing that will help. You fall in the latter category and our hat's off to you.
