We went to visit the baby cousins this summer. I luv the short ones under 3. There were 4 of them. Eveytime my mom turned her back they fed me really, really good things, chicken, burgers, hot doggies, cookieshttp://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/ksmile.gif Mom got after them all the time, but they found ways. MMMMMM just so much stuff. I now weigh 12 pounds instead of 10. Mom won't give me any special treaties or anything. She says extra weight isn't good for me.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/crying.gif Does any body have any ideas of low cal really good treaties I could have some of and still loose this tummy? Help me I'm starving.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/kfrown.gif I know you people know lots of things so thanks for helping me out in my time of extreme testing.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/sick.gif

Aug likes pop corn. I was going to see about rice cakes too. But the pop corn is quality time too (hand feed, catch)

We like everything that everyone has already mentioned (especially SNAUSAGES which Daddy buys for us sometimes, and then Mommy yells at him, but we get to eat them anyway 'cause Daddy likes to spoil us), and we also like frozen corn (when Mommy's pouring it into the pot she always "spills" some for us, and we remind her if she forgets). And those big crunchy romaine lettuce leaves! After you crunch them, you can shred them and snarf them down! What fun! And we like the blueberries and strawberries and bananas that Mommy & Daddy put on their breakfast cereal. Sometimes they have Cheerios, and we like those too.

Becky, we are also big fruit-and-veg fans, and like Augie Dog, we also love popcorn (no butter, please, but a squirt or two of "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" is OK)! Tell your mom to get a bag of those little carrots and hide some around the house so you can go on a carrot hunt--exercise AND low-cal snacks! It isn't peanut butter biscuits, but it ain't bad!! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/spotting.gif
Miss Peaches Marie and Farfel (who could stand to lose a pound or two too....)

My oldest, Hans wa about 3-4 pounds overweight. We did not remove his dry dog food totaly, but reduced it and started adding fruits, vegetables, a bit of parmesean cheese for smell, some garlic powder(to keep his interest), etc. We also stopped giving biscuits and only gave carrots as 'good boy' treats. It worked like a charm and now he only has about 1-1.5 pnds left!
Keep in mind also that just like humans, energy in - energy out will = your dogs weight. Increasing his exercise time and walking will help alot without even reducing his food intake.

Thanks everyone for helping my mom out. I am really enjoying the pop corn snacks.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/chatter.gif I don't tell mom because I am always in hope of scoring a beefy treatie, but the veggies aren't too bad. I keep hoping if I pout just a little longer she will give in, but she is a pretty stubborn hooman.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/disgust.gif Mom has given in to the L@@K a couple of time and given me a teeny nibble of cheese, but that is all.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/angryfire.gif She says I am getting my girlish figure back again. Watch out I may be the next dachdiva! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/cool.gif Becky Ann

Remember to suck in your tummy and lay upside down while sticking out the tip of your tongue, giving the "I'm abused" L@@K!
If all this fails, start drinking out of the flusher and eating nasty~goodies when you find them in the back yard.
When they take you to Dr. Dread at the Temple of Doom, you can flop over and pretend to have no energy. Refuse food for a few days, then the Snausages will come back!
All these are what I'd do in this extreme case to break your will!
Agent (Ooops! Almost gave myself away on an uncleared channel! )
Sonja here: Give a treat of a grilled bone with garlic powder. This keeps the babies busy for a long time and they forget to beg and look "sick" when you eat.
