Hi guys! My 7 year old daughter and 2 year old son have a stomach virus.:crying: I was up at 130 Monday night/Tuesday morning w/my daughter. She had thrown up in her sleep and after cleaning her and her bed up, she continued to get up throughtout the rest of the night getting sick!:crying: This is my child w/the cast iron stomach that hasn't been sick since she was 2! My son has had it on the other end since Saturday! So, I kept them both home w/me yesterday and took them to the Doc. He says there is a bug going around and I would have to let it run its course. Of course, he told me I was "lucky" that they both seem to have it at the same time.:yeahfine: Last night was better but I think that was only because they hardly ate anything. Mom has them today and so far she says they are doing ok...not eating but drinking pedialyte and watching movies.:( Please send my babies some rayz! I am hoping I can get my stuff done here and head home after lunch to take care of them.....and maybe get in a nap?

Sorry to hear your kids are under the wearther. I sure remember those days.

It gets better. Once they reach 11 and almost 18, it just doesn't seem as draining as when they are young. You still worry, sit with them, etc., but at least they aren't crawling all over you. :sigh: I do miss those days sometimes.

I guess that's why I got 2 dachsies!

Here are some more rayz for all of you:

Modern medicine has insured that the strongest and most virulent of flu virii are strong, healthy and well distributed. The abuse of antibiotics have created a world full of stronger and more dangerous germs out there.

I used to never get sick. All through school, from pre-school to the end of my doctoral studies, I never got sick, except when I got the chicken pox. Now it seems like I am getting hammered at least once a year by one of these super virii. Last year, my priest insisted I visit a doctor--my kidneys shut down for a couple of days. So I went.

He told me, "You have the flu. Get these meds. I'll send you a bill." The meds were antibiotices--to kill bacterial infections, not viral. And they cost $125.00 a pop. My insurane would not cover it. My insurance did not cover the visit either. I ended up paying 500.00 dollars for worthless medical support.

I'll stick to Tibetan medicine, and herbal treatments from now on.

I got wrapped up in my personal anger against Modern Medicine, and forgot to send tood well wishes to all in your family. I know how tough it is being sick. Whwn you are insured, and it still costs 500.00 it just makes me so mad! Part of the charges was a 157.00 dollar filing fee from the doctors office to file the insurance papers!!!

I didn't get to get off work early yesterday but did crash early along w/the kids! And thanks for all of the rayz! They seem to have worked. My 7 year old is off to her first day in the second grade and my son is at "preschool"! They ate everything I put in front of them last night and my mom said they each ate two bowls of her homemade chicken noodle soup. As for me getting it, (((knock on wood))) I have a pretty strong stomach and when I do get a stomach virus, I can usually still function.....thanks again for all the rayz!

Ha Ha! Seems my husband now has it!:flush: He just called to tell me he was on his way home to go to bed! Poor baby! Guess I need to request more rayz for him too, huh?

Poor husband. And poor you... if he is anything like mine, he will probably need more attention than the kids.:D
