Schnauzer Rescue

You guys are never gonna believe this ... i was out this morning and me and my son went to Greensboro Humane society to do our usual Saturday morning walk a dog program... and a lady came storming in the shelter and threw a box down at the counter and walked out ... I thought to myself 'Whoa bad day lady'? Well i took rockie the lab mix we were walking back in and asked the sec. at the counter what that ladys prob was? She pointed in the box and there i saw 4 of the most beautiful litter mini. Schnauzer puppys 3 males and 1 small female .... since she didnt stay to fill out paperwork she didnt know that the shelter was full... and unfortantly this is a kill shelter ...so the puppys had 48hrs to be adopted ... so Kathy the sec. was tagging them for intake i knew these babys didnt have much chance with tomorrow being sunday so me and my friend chris took all 4 pups i brought 1 home the little girl and he took the 3 boys .... i cant describe how good it felt to know that those babys wouldnt have to worry about not waking up tomorrow .... she has some mats in her fur and ear mites but other than that seems to be ok http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif We will make a appt. at the vet monday so we can start her shots and have her checked out. wow, this is too cool. i love it when the rescue gods align things this way. you are so sweet to help those puppies. god bless you!!

by the way---i have a friend (she's my sub. pet sitter and does dachsie rescue) is looking for a schnauser (sp?) baby http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif: as her boyfriend wants a fishing buddy and a dog of his own. . . .i live in ohio and i wonder if we can transport here?

Welllllll as i type this my hubby is sitting on the couch with 8 doxies on his legs and a small schnauzer on his chest fast asleep i think she may have a forever home here with us ...lol Just call me ~8DachshieAngels~+1SchnauzerAngel ...lol I love animal doxies are my fav. but anything furry and sweet basically will feed the need esp. doxies http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif Thanks ... hi we just adopted 2 mini long haired dachshunds from kent county spca. they were a pair. they are adorable and housebroke and we are blessed. 2 was all we could handle still have another there his name is shoe button. our pair were already named Cholita and Brandon(brandy and lita now )we are so lucky someone let the best things in the world pass through their lives. They were found abandoned in an apartment with a bag of food. We are truly happy they are with us!flea problem but we have bathed and sprayed and see vet mon. advise welcome !

Congrats on your new puppers i recieved your email but for some reason when i tried to reply it said the addy didnt exist... hrm ...lol computers sometimes baffle me... anyways heres what my email said ...

For the itching i would try cool oatmeal baths .. i would try to keep them out of the dirt if its possible because if their is open sores u dont want infection also there are some over the counter anti-itch stuff for dogs but if your appt is tomorrow then i wouldnt worry about it ... they will probably put the dogs on antibiotics as a precaution.
