Does anyone happen to know the origin of this phrase? It is used alot down here and I was just curious as to where it came from and how it came to be used today.

Just something to throw out there....I am sure someone will enlighten me!:D

there are some books out there explaining the origins of phrases like that one. I cannot remember the titles.
