XP Question for my geek friends...

I just replaced the hard drive on one of my laptops & reinstalled XP. I LOVE the music that plays during the reinstall and tracked it down (/windows/system32/oobe/images/title), but can't locate any info on the artist. Any ideas?

Hmmm...I found it. My laptop doesn't play that wma file.

It does sound very familiar though!!!

It could be something composed by/for Microsoft. I hear a few other tunes in there I think... but can't remember the names

That's a very popular little piece of music! We upgraded some classrooms to XP last year- and though I wasn't on the install, the guys called me- and let me listen to 24 computers playing it all at once!:lol:

Nobody seems to know the composer- I've seen the question MANY times! Some people think it's a remix of an Enigma song- but I think it's probably just something MS just doesn't want to credit the artist for. :eek:

24 computers at once... too cool Chrissie! I had my laptop at work when I did the install and everyone around me wanted to know who it was. I thought it sounded like Enigma in some parts too. I'm on a mission to find the artist or at least more music like this.
