How often to feed a 9 week old pup???

I have a new nine week old pup who gets a mixture of dried and canned food..I have been feeding her about three small meals a day...Is this too much? She never eats that much at a sitting..(I have found that she eats more if I sit with her while she eats).
What age should I wait to try to move her back to less feedings? She gets a tablespoon of canned and probably 2 tablespoons of dry each time.. <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm3.gif" border=0>

Pups should eat 3 to 4 times a day. I forget at what age you can cut back on how many meals, I'm sure someone here knows. If she's hungry she will eat, don't get too fussy with her food, she'll turn into a fussy eater. You might want to leave the food out for a certain amount of time, like 20 minutes, and take it away if she doesn't eat, she will learn to eat when the food is there.

Thanks so much...we went to the vet this morning and she weighs 3.5 pounds...He said that is a good weight and she is very healthy<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm8.gif" border=0> Maybe I am just being a worry wart mommie...<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm36.gif" border=0> I have been leaving her food out and giving her a few minutes to see if she is really finished or not..But 9 out of 10 times..she is finished the first time she leaves!<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm35.gif" border=0> Gracie<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm3.gif" border=0> and I appreciate you guys more than you know!!!
