Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to know what everyone thought about the new treat out on the market called "Greenies". I road-tested this treat with Augie about 1 week ago and he really liked it. The benefits are great, it is supposed to reduce bad breath, promote digestibility, reduce plaque, and it has no preservatives, artificial colors, or chemicals. It is green, and resembles a toothbrush. I would appreciate some feedback if anybody else has used this product. Talk to you all soon.

Actually, I think I have 3/4 of one burried under the couch http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif
From what I've seen of them, they're a fine treat. Much better than anything you'd pick up like Beggin' Strips, on Bonz etc.

Hi Shenn,
Welcome to the board I believe this is the first time I've seen you posting. As far as the greenies are concerned the boys love them but I still have a little reservation on whole dietary cellulose thing. One of the main ingredients (now listed with the trade name) was listed as cellulouse on the packages I purchased. I don't think I could tell any difference in the boys breath. Tanner the smaller of my boys would finish one off in well under fifteen minutes and then try to figure out a way to steal what was left of Franks.

We just tried Greenies this weekend for the first time. We got a new dog, Fritz, from DRNA on Friday and he had terrible fish breath so it was really hard to enjoy his constant kissing. We picked up a couple of Greenies on Sunday. Chloe and Fritz LOVED them. They sat on the couch and chewed them until they were gone. It worked, no more fish breath! I recommend them.

I just bought a few of these at my local dog bakery-- Sunday loved them! I did notice an improvement in her breath as well.

Peaches and Farfie give Greenies two big thumbs up! They LOVE them! I bought some in bulk at a dog show, but for those of you who are ordering them by mail, Hearts United for Animals sells them on their web site, with all proceeds going to work against mills.
My two doggies have very sweet breath (I think it's all the carrots and apples...), so I didn't notice a change--just that they loved them and they're less caloric than rawhide or pig ears, and they're good for their gums!
Teena has terrible breath, but she won't chew anything....

I got some and Badger loves them, but I have a question. He ate a whole greenie is like ten minutes the first time I gave him one and the next day, his poopie was greenish in color, has this happened to anyone else?

Yes...it is normal for poop to come out green after eating greenies. The greenies have chlorophyl in them which is green. The package of greenies (if you bought them in a package) notifies you that the dog's poop will be green.
Nothing to worry about!!

Is it just me or do they really smell like teriyaki sauce? I think that helps them in the yum department.
