http://dachsie.org/ubb/bounce.gif Wow! Maddie likes to play ball! This amazed me because Dolly has the attitude that BALLS ARE FOR BOYS!!! Maddie is pretty darn funny chasing and catching the ball considering she is all of 8 lbs and the ball is SLIGHTLY too big for her mouth. She kind of looks like a seal nudging it with her nose. A soccer dog, that's it! Maddie's true doxie personality is really starting to show itself. She is definitely a character and a sweet little girl.

I love to play ball too! My human grandpa thinks I look silly because I run and dart my head to pick up the tennis ball without stopping. I love to play ball in my yard. I hope someday we can play together. *nuzzles and snuggles*

Maddie, I was looking at getting a soccer team started. Would you like to play on my team? I love to play soccer. My mommy got me a little squeaky soccer ball. You can tell your mommy she could get you one on allpets.com. It's just right for my size. I push it around with my nose. I want to play catch all the time, but I always have so much fun with it. It's my FAVORITE toy. My mommy and daddy even call me "Pele". I think he's some famous soccer player or something. We could call our team the "lowriders". Anyone else out there want to be on our team???

Oh, yes, yes! I wanna play! Penny here, I love playing ball so much! When I can't get anybody to play with me I take my ball up on to the couch and drop it down the ramp. It rolls really good, but I always catch it!
My new sister Maggie doesn't have the hang of playing ball yet. I can get my humans to throw the ball for me every night, and they try to get her to play too, but Maggie just sits there staring at us like we're really crazy or something.
Maybe she could be our cheerleader, though. She barks really good!

The Lowriders! That's a great name for our soccer team! I'll have to pester mommy and papa about getting me that soccer ball! If we get a team together, can we have blankie breaks? I think Maggie and Dolly would make good cheerleaders! Can I play next to Rudy Roo? He's my honey bunny!

Silly me. I thought I'd finally found a squeaky ball that was (1)undestructable;(2)big enough so it won't roll under the couch:
(3) keep the little criminal busy. This toy only cost $5. so I thought I'd gotten a good deal until...

30 minutes later Wotan comes out of the house and is very pleased with himself. He had chewed a big hole it it. Dead again!

My sister was a good ball player, but I'm too old for chasing those things around. I want to be the goalie! I can stretch out real long and my big belly will be good for blocking. And at breaks, maybe the humans can come scratch my belly!
