I just realized that September is next week! OMG, where did the summer go. I can't beleive that I start back school on Monday!

Plus, this August has not felt like August. It rained alot and it was always in the 70s and 80s. Usually here in PA August is a hot and humid 90 degrees!

Who else feels the same way?

What summer? :D

Other than the past 3 days and a few others, it's been quite cold. 50's at night and 70's (most days) during the day.

OK it was cooler than the norm. But the humidity always gets to me! :fainty: :weep: But you won't see me shedding any tears for summer to come back. Actually my favorite time of year is the fall and the trees are starting to turn colors Yippie!!!!!!:pink:Oh ya baby :spotting:maybe I will actually be able to get out and do some walking. :walking: With my excess weight I can't handle the heat at all. So far this summer I just go and sit at the Bark Park and let the doxies do their thing. Which is good for all of us. But I have to walk on level ground. So am looking forward to going out to the wooded area's that I can walk on the road and the doxies can do there wild and crazy running and playing. I haven't even gone up North this summer. So they are ready to gooooooo!
   :verycool:

It's definitely been a strange summer down here - has only felt like summer a couple of times, counting the last week. But in some ways, I loved it - at least I could get out some and enjoy the outdoors without keeling over from heat stroke! My favorite time is spring - everything's new, smells good, not too hot. Feel like running through da hills like in the Sound of Music! :D The neighbors (and probably my kids!) would get the net out if I did! :circle: Not to mention, the visual of my big toochie running anywhere would be a bit much! :dizzy:

We had a HOT summer! Just last week it was in the 90's. Monday it starting raining and brought the temperature down to the 70's. The hot summer was good for the cherry crop. So we don't complain too much! Our biggest fear in the summer is rain followed by extreme heat. If that happens, the cherries split and we all have a bad summer!:( It's supposed to be 83 here today, but I am looking forward to fall. It's my favorite time of year when the leaves change and we have those cool, crisp mornings.

I'd be happy to skip all summers. The humidity in NJ is awful. Fall is my favorite time of year - anything but summer. barbara:flower:

FL is the land of never-ending summer. :(

Of course- our summers CALL for rain everyday- and lately, that's what it's been doing. Today, though- gorgeous, clear, day. Yay!

I look forward to late October. I've always loved Halloween- and not always because of the candy and such. :)

Late October brings slightly cooler weather- and breezes. I can usually get away with long sleeves a few times a week. ;)

I love the heat! :bounce:

Our summer was unusually mild. It's been hot. Texas is always hot in the summer, but this year it started later and hasn't been quite as intense. I still can't believe it almost fall. I've only gotten in about 4 pool days at my neighbor's pool and summer's almost over.

Hey Mark, my hubby lived in MI for 9 years and that's one thing he always says. He couldn't wait to get out of that cold. :circle:

Mark,
You should have been in Philly this weekend since Friday it's been 90 everyday, including today!

Finally it feels like August here!

Sorry, I love the warm weather. I really hate cold weather and snow. The BF feels the same way too. When I'm done school we are definitely moving somewhere warmer - SC or FL.

We have enjoyed the mostly 70's summer. :)

This past week we've had near 90's temp and over 90's humidity. :( Tomorrow we have a low humidity, 70's day/week forecast.

Buffalo, New York had a long spring and an early fall. We rarely get "summer".

Actually, this week was really hot for us, like low 80s and we can't take it! The humidity was high. I stayed in the air conditioning!

I'm bummed about going back to work (as an art teacher in the city district). Expect a lot less posts and a lot more stress... Plus, I know Mr. B is going to be really angry when I'm not home all day with him, and Ms. Rigby has no idea what's coming. I will come home on my lunch/prep periods for potty breaks, but they're not going to like the three hour at a time crate sessions.

Not looking forward to summer ending- the work & the COLD. I do not miss the cold! I was not meant to live here.

I would love summer in the 70s. Vancouver was great with 80 for the high and low humidity which for Floridians would seem like heaven. At least for me.

I would love to go to Cali but the BF hates it out there. It's very expensive to live out there too.

My best friend lived out there for 4 years and I went to visit her twice. Gas and real estate was super pricey.

Besides, I want to be like Chrissie and wear shorts and ponytails to work everyday! :D

Summer did fly by didn't it? School buses are out and fall fundraisers have been delegated! Yikes!:afraid: Christmas is right around the corner!:caffeine: As for the heat, it has been unbearable here. I hate the humidity ~ I have naturally wavy/curly hair, and no it isn't the cool Debra Messing kind, just the frizzy kind. I MUCH prefer the cool climate but my husband is a born and raised southerner and hates the cold. I grew up between Maine and North Carolina (military brat) and the best place for me was Maine.....of course I was a kid and didn't have to drive in all that snow! My ideal temps would be 60's at night and low to mid 70s during the day ~ for the majority of the year......with NO humidity!:D

Carrol,
Did you speak the word "Christmas" already????

It is less than 4 months away!

Schools in my neighborhood started yesterday. That seems so early to me. I remember always starting after Labor Day!!

WHAT SUMMER? :sob: Nobody appreciates warm weather like North Americans and this year we were cheated. I can only imagine living somewhere warm ALL year round. OMG. Is that like heaven? Do you just get used to having nice weather all of the time? The money I would save on clothes!!! No more shopping for 4 different seasons!
