Dentabones good for puppies?

Hey, Timber--

Are you talking about the Pedigree Dentabones? When they hit the stores, I checked them out, and in the ingredients list, I found..."digest"--i.e., chicken poop. Have you tried the Booda velvet bones, or Nylabones? There's also a line of hard chewy bones flavored with cheese, bacon, fruit, and spinach. I see them at Petco all the time. Those might be worth a try too.

My girls love the Dentabones, too. I buy high quality food to avoid disgusting ingredients, but sometimes I figure I just gotta give them what they love! <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm38.gif" border=0> My dogs have been chomping them up once or twice a month since I first discovered them last winter. I'll admit I try not to think about what's in them, but they haven't hurt the dogs at all.
I don't depend on them for dental hygene though - now's the time to get your puppy used to having his little teeth brushed!

There is a line of dental bones that has no digest or byproducts.

They are called healthy choice dental bones and are made by great choice. they are flavored with milk protein and carrots and they have rice in them.

I found them at petsmart.

I'm usually good about reading labels but didn't realize what was in those dentabones. I wont be buying anymore of those. I have bought the healthy choice ones before, Oscar loves them. I also buy the edible nylabones, peanut is a favorite. I have to buy wolf size!
