I bought these jingle tennis balls. Tough and long lasting it said. Well I dont consider about a 1/2 hour long lasting! Split in half and fuzzies all over the house. Someone should sell "dachshund tested toys".

Oh, how I second that!! Dachshund tested would be great! I have one really sturdy jingle toy and Otis won't touch it. If it can't be destroyed, it is no fun at all. I brought his toys to my mom's and mom said,"What is THAT?!" It was Otis's ripped apart Teddy Bear without stuffing. I guess it did look pretty frightening. Which reminds me of something else my mom always says," Live and learn. Anyway, we live."
When I find that perfect dachsie toy, you'll be the first to know!!!

I agree entirely with you both I bought a tug-o-war rope the package said rip proof ha rip proof it last one hour. My dachie Shadow is like Otis if it can't be ripped apart it doesn't deserve a second chew!

Boy am I glad my Mitzi isn't like your guys. The only toys she like to rip apart are the big furry mice (yes they are really for cats). She likes to defur them. Then she'll play with the plastic (that the fur was on) and carry around the fur. She is such a good girl with her toys but shoes are another story<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm13.gif" border=0>!!
