I adopted Chester from the SPCA a little over a year ago. He had just turned one year old. He was brought down from Rochester, NY with a group of other horses seized from a petting zoo. He was actually born after the seizure. His mother wouldn't let any one near him so it has been a real challenge getting him to trust. But he let's me walk up and put a halter on him and the farrier can trim his feet... on the other hand... he knows who the vet is and what a needle is... Rodeo time... we still have some work to do!! But he is a cutie.

Short, dark and handsome...

Well I don't know horses but I know a story I like:). By the way which of your dachsie crew has been teaching him the look. I swear that is a learned look in the second picture.

Gorgeous!!!!!! Are those those healthy dapples on him?

I rode hunter/jumper for years until my parents stopped paying for it when I was in college. Ponies were always my favorite to ride - they have more personality than horses it seems. How big is he now? How many hands is he supposed to be? Do you know what breed he is?

He is definitely handsome. Too bad I can't fit a pony in my garage.

He's wonderful. I have always loved horses. I am sure he's going to mature and do better with the vet, can't promise on the needles. Horses are alot like dogs, they love you with their entire being, heart and soul. They are so smart and sensative. Thank you for giving him a great life.
