Well, I finally broke down and bought Oscar the small buster cube. He went absolutely nuts over it. He pushed it all over the house non stop for almost an hour, funny thing he didnt even eat any of the treats that fell out of it. He made a ton of noise, gruffing and ruffing, while he played with it. When I took it away, he was panting, I think he got a pretty good workout.

I'm been meaning to get Chiefy one of those. Although I'm tempted to get the big one...not put a lot of treats in it but one that he won't ruin so quickly and have to work twice as hard with rolling a big one..what do ya think?

Does Chiefy like to play with big balls? If you have a dog that likes to play soccer with a big ball then they might like the larger buster cube. If Chiefy doesn't like large balls then I would suggest staying with the smaller cube. The cube was the only toy Aggie (a mill mother rescue) ever learned to play with. The only problem with the cubes I've found so far is that they tend to disappear for any where from a few days to a few weeks. It's amazing all the places these things disappear to. once they catch on to how the cube works they will use their feet to flip the cube. I've also seen a small mini manage to shoot the cube backward between their legs.

Chiefy loves a good game of round robin. He's gotten so smart that he takes both toys in his mouth at once..a booda rope and a funny ball. I'm just thinking a small one wouldn't challenge him enough. But what do I know. I'm out of toys with the exception of these 2 he has for now. Have to start replenishing. Any suggestions are most welcome!!

I've found that Oscar gets frustrated if he get a hold of a toy. I think the cube will be durable and that the small one will last. I think its the same challenge big or small.

Just got Chiefy a buster cube, (small size). Haven't yet given it to him yet. Maybe on a Saturday when me and hubby can watch him. Does it keep their attention. Chiefy seems to have a short attention span for toys unless you are playing with him.

In my experience, some dogs love the cube, while others could not care less. In my house, Farfel is not interested, but Peaches is WILD for it. She chases it all over the office and doesn't rest until every last little bit of kibble is out! She learned to nudge it up against the woodwork, then flip it with her nose to shake out more kibbles. It's the cutest thing!
But it DOES have a way of disappearing. And then I'll find it, in a corner, behind something, where she has nudged it and not been able to get it out....
