Does anyone know this toy???

My son found a toy outside this summer, and Otis has taken a great liking to it. It is a large spiky ball, yet lighter rubber with a long "handle". He managed to chew the handle thing off, but he loves the rest of the toy. I haven't seen these at any pet stores that we go to or on the computer. Does anyone know what this could be? I am thinking ahead for the day he finally bites through it!
