I am sure that Pamela will not mind my posting this.
". ...
We are losing entirely too many wonderful dogs lately. :(
I took Farfel to the vet today at 5 after he had been hemorrhaging from his nose for many hours today. I was lucky that my vet AND Farfel's specialist both made sure they were there--no one was on vacation or otherwise unavailable. He was ready to go and fell into a peaceful sleep, after eating four Reese's peanut butter cups.
It is not possible to say how much I miss him, and will miss him. He was just the best dog in the world, and he died too young.
Pamela ....."
He was a wonderful guy and was loved dearly, please say a prayer for Farfels journey and for Pamelas grief.

I know that this is for the best and Farfel is now out of pain, but it is so sad for Pam. She loved him so.

Everytime I read this kind of post I cry. Poor baby , poor poor Pamela.
Can someone tell me where the thread is for this? What did he have?
Also, thank her for sharing the Reese's Peanut Butter cup..I will truly remember that if ever this should happen to me.
Please tell Pamela that ALL of our puppers who have gone to the Bridge are there waiting to play with Farfel, I'm sure of it.

I know this is such a difficult time for Pam.
I know that Farfel is now free from pain, and running around with all of our doxies enjoying playtime.
Please let her know that she is in our thoughts.

Farfel not longer has the pain of cancer and carries the love of all with him at the bridge where he is playing with Miss Peaches Marie and all of our other departed ones. Take care Farfel in your travels.

Farfel lived a full and wonderful life with Pam. He was her precious boy. Now he's with the 'Sainted Peaches Marie' at the bridge, watching over their dear Pamela until they meet again.
I didn't want to post a pic from Almost Home's site without their permission so I'll post a link to it here (http://www.almosthomerescue.org/images/fourdox.jpg).
That's Peaches Marie on the left and the Farfinator on the right.

Peaches is also there near the bottom.

Thank you all for your kind words of condolence. Farfel was very special to me and his loss was very painful, even though I had known for a long time that that day was inevitable, it was still very hard.
It was especially hard because, to the very end, he was otherwise healthy, happy, and his usual self. He was not in any pain, he continued to eat with his usual gusto (anything, everything, any time, anywhere...), played with his squeaky toys every day. He was actually sneezing much less than he had been at the beginning. I'm relieved that he really didn't suffer at all, and he loved the peanut butter cups! My vet's idea. I like the idea that he arrived at the Bridge with peanut butter breath.
I also want to thank everyone for the support you gave me during the whole year and a half after his diagnosis. All the advice and good wishes were so helpful.

I am so sorry to hear of your loosing your precious pup. The love and companionship you shard will be with you forever. Even when we are the ones left behind we have our precious memories.
Now he can run and play and eat all the peanut butter cups he wants over at the rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear about Farfel. He must have been a very special boy. How wonderful that you gave him peanut butter cups to take to the Bridge (my Tristan up there will be jealous!).
The girls and I will be thinking of you at this difficult time. Please feel free to stop by and share more memories of Farfel if you like... and of course the irrepressible Peaches Marie.
