I couldn't resist posting this wonderful quote, which is on today's page of my dachshund calendar....

"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."

That about sums it up, doesn't it? http://dachsie.org/ubb/smile.gif

We must have the same calendar. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smile.gif I liked that quote too!

I have that one too!

How true it is. One of my other favorites is

"A man may smile and bid you hail, yet wish you to the devil. But when a good dog wags his tail, you know he's on the level."

So true. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smile.gif

I've got a quote on a dachshund mousepad I have at work. "The Dachshund, not one to agree, when told just how good he must be, with mettle Teutonic and voice supersonic, will bellow,"What's in it for me?" http://dachsie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hey Pamela!

I have your calendar! http://dachsie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif I picked it up at Petco (mine was on clearance, was yours?). These quotes sure are TRUE to life, aren't they? The one for Feb. 19/20 is such a good one; "We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals". I LOVE it! Here's another great one; "If people were superior to animals, they'd take better care of the world". How TRUE! Another excellent one; "There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face". http://dachsie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif OK, here's the one for April 1/2; "The greatest love is a mother's, then a dog's, then a sweetheart's. The pics in this calendar are great too! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Susan, believe it or not, our computer guru gave me that calendar! Not only does he fix our computer problems and bring us fancy new machines from time to time, but he brings us dachshund stuff! Now, you have to remember that I'm a "standard bearer," and to my mind, this particular calendar is a bit heavy on the minis. Last year's had more standards. But that little quibble aside, isn't it fun to flip to a new page--new dog, new quote--every day?

Now, Pamela... don't be a Standard snob! Just because your dogs are twice as long as Rooby, doesn't mean a thing! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smile.gif
I love the calendar, but I was kind of ticked when I realized they used the same pics several times... not a new pic everyday. Oh well, that's ok.

Our daily dachsund calendar had that quote last week. We have the wall calendar, the day calendar, and my husband and I each have our own dachsund planner....we're a little hooked on dachsunds! http://dachsie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Who wouldn't be?
