:( Something is wrong with my Kasier,
he is 4 years old and has had two back
surjery's. I don't know if he sprained
it or what.
Should I wait till morning to call vet or
just keep him quiet and see how he feels
in the morning.
He is my baby and the one that always
has a grin for me.
Even though I have several others, he is
my love bug and I hate to see him hurting
so.

What are the symptoms? Do you have the option of calling an Emergency clinic that is open 24/7? What were the other back surgeries about?

Keeping Kaiser quiet, ie; strict crate rest is essential . . . immediately.

Anyhoo . . . Many, many DBB Healing RAYZ for Kaiser. :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz:

Sending rays since I already sent and e-mail. We are hoping for a muscle strain! Crate rest in any case.

Thank you all for your help.
He is walking very stiff and kind of
hunched in back.
I am so hoping it's just a muscle strain.
I just don't know what happened.
He doesn't jump and he always lets me
pick him up if he wants in bed with me.
And he lets me pick him up to put him
back down.
He has always been so careful.
We don't have anything special here in
Jasper. That's why I was wondering.
I didn't know what my options were if
they can't help me.
Will keep you all posted.
Keep him in your prayers.

:rayz: :rayz: :rayz: to Keiser!

If you can't take him tonight, put him in his crate so he can get some rest and it wll also limit his mobility!

Good advice! Keep his movement as limited as possible. He may just be having muscles spasms. I had one dachsie that had them and the symptoms sound similar or it may be more serious. How far are you from A&M? They have some great vets there.

Yay! I hope he continues to get better, My grandma's dachshund had to be euthanized last year because he hurt his back so badly that it couldn't be fixed by anything, His name was kaizer too but it's spelled differently. You are so lucky that your Kaiser is okay:D

Thanks for all the healing:rayz: :rayz: :rayz:
let me tell you this is one tough puppy (yes
even though he's four.
He has been attacked by a coyote twice. Luckily
each time managed to get away.
The last time I yelled and yelled.
I think that's when he had problems with his back
the second time.
He had puncture wounds in both sides that had to
be stitched.
All of that was in Ohio before we moved down here
to Texas.
I was hoping the nice quiet fence in yard would be
enough to confine him and help.
At least it wasn't serious and hopefully everything
will work out.:hugs1: to all of you who send your
advice and healing to him.

I know what you mean about the coyotes. We actually have them here on the base in Tucson. You can hear them at night. I don't know what they are capable of, so when i hear him barking, i take a look and bring him inside. We have a lady here that has been looking for her cat for TWO YEARS and most say that poor thing was a meal. We see them at night on the streets sometimes.

Unfortunately coyotes do like the smaller animals for a meal. I use to have a lot of feral cats as long as they stay on the property they live a long life. Some of my faves that have ventured out are never seen again. :(

 Thanks for everyone's input.
I never expected to have them so close
there in Ohio. But I quess they have to
be somewhere.
I always worried about our cat but she
managed to avoid them.
My friend had someone that had a doxie
out in California and they got one of her
dogs. Darn guys.
Anyway thanks for all the help.

I missed this post before but here are some more rayz for his back to keep improving.
:rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz:
So glad that it isn't any worse. I wish my dogs wouldn't want to jump so much. Even when Ivy'z back was hurting she still wanted to jump up and down off the bed.   No more back strains or twinges or any thing that hurts our puppers.
