Thanks for the links, Jen. Considering the fact that the imitation lamb's wool I purchased from Walmart was $6.95 a yard, (60" wide) and that I already had the fabric for the outside, I did well making the "dream sacks" myself. It cost me $8.50 for 2. Must I mention that Greta's was quite a bit larger than Baylea's? It does embarrass Greta so. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/emb.gif
Digital camera ordered but not shipped yet. Have promised to post pics of the sacks as soon as I can.
They love them!
Thanks for passing on the info.

Cool cant wait to see what the custom made dream sac' looks like... too bad i lack domestic skills... or i would make some for my guys... Sewing a button on is about as far as i get... so i have to pay the high prices or either learn to sew...lol

Thanks Jen! I was asking about dog sweaters yesterday and have been looking for the Dream Sacks since the beginning of the summer. I cannot sew either so these sites are very helpful. P.S. Hannah's bronchitis seems a little better today after a very difficult night. Bernie

How do you get your weiners into their coats? Twix is the 2nd doxie I've had and I have not been able to get either one to wear a coat. She shivers so when we go out. Matter of fact the temp dropped to 68 the other night and you would of thought it was below freezing. The problem I had with Max and now with Twix is that they take their sweaters off after I put them on. It is such a struggle to put a sweater on and it is so easy for her to get it off--kinda frustrating .

In a couple of my horse catalogs they have dog blankets that fit like horse blankets. I wonder if they would work better than sweaters since they don't have legs. The blankets fasten in front and then have a surcingle that fastens around the middle just like a horse blanket. I don't use sweaters since the wires have enough fur to keep them warm and cozy through our Arkansas winters and Wheeler doesn't stay out long enough to get cold in the winter.

You can find the dog blankets at www.valleyvet.com (http://www.valleyvet.com) and www.doversaddlery.com (http://www.doversaddlery.com)

Here's another good one for custom coats.

They would be about $25 bucks each -plus shipping. http://www.horsecreations.com/
Four dachsies are wearing them on the front page. They look very nice.

I am making polar fleece coats that are similar to the ones seen here. I have the pattern made out already, but haven't started sewing yet. I'm going to use a double layer of fleece and sew a button hole where the leash hooks to their harnesses.
I paid $6 for a yard of 60" wide solid color fleece. Hope they turn out well -maybe I'll get to them this weekend.

Krista--are you selling your coats? I would be interested in one if you are.
