Hi All,

First of all, I'd like to apologize for not participating on the board as much as I usually do. Kind of been in a blue funk lately and as a result, can't get the brain going to make replies and compose. Well, hopefully I will have some good news today. Got called for a second interview for a company that is a five minute WALK from my house. If you could spare some doxie rays, I'd appreciate a few with hopes I'll land this one. It's not the highest paying position I've ever had, but since I do not drive a car, the transportation end is a cinch. Now here lately, I've been lured by the smell of fritos more than I care to admit. Take this morning for example. There I was just innocently sitting on the couch (the reclining type) when the suble woff of fritos begins to penetrate my beak. MMMMMM. Suddenly I notice my hand reaching for the recliner stick and my feet outstretching. The fritos get stronger as the FRITO blankie covers me. Oh, I know my fate is sealed when a little black and tan rodent plops herself on my tummy and the redhead molds herself to my side. I am intoxicated!! I'm drifting..drifting...drifting. Suddenly an hour later, I open my eyes! YAWN! STRETCH!! Starting my day at 11:00. Yup, these doxies are definitely a bad influence on me.

GOT IT!!! GOT IT!!! GOT IT!!!!

Didn't expect a call until tomorrow, but I got the call about an hour ago.
I was up to my eyeballs in cleaning the kitchen...you know, pulling out
stuff and washing the outside of the appliances and dumping the 2 cups of
crumbs that accumulate at the bottom of the toaster....type cleaning. I
start at 8:00 on Monday. The Company is called Deposition Sciences and they
have about 3-4 buildings in this business park. They have something to do
with optical coating. The pay isn't great BUT the commute can't be beat and the girls WILL see me
each day at lunch. My hours are 8-5. I will be a temp for 3 months before
I am on their payroll.

Hooray! I'm very happy for you Sandi and I hope that this turns out to be a 'dream job' for you. How great to be able to check in on your girls at noon! I can't let Penny & Maggie know about this though - they have no idea that some of their cyber friends get to see Mom at lunch time on work days! Incidentally Ocken, at school there are lots of blocked sites also. What frequently works is for me to go to our local library's homepage & from there (or "through them") to go to my desired destination. It seems to bypass the firewall somehow.
