Ok. VERY NDR but I had to throw in a movie review somewhere. This past weekend, we took the kids to see Shark Tale. My son (2) is absolutely INFATUATED w/sharks. He (hear the pride in my voice?) can tell the difference between a hammerhead, Great White AND a Tiger Shark. Amazing huh? Anyway, we went to the early bird showing which was at 1025am. A WHOLE LOT cheaper (except for the requisite popcorn and soda) and we thought it would not be packed. Boy was I wrong. The place was CROWDED. Anyway, the movies is so cute. Very hip and fast flowing. I found hardly any slow spots whatsoever and if you have kids, you know that 5 minutes of boring dialogue can lead to a very unhappy child in a theater. I am absolutely amazed at technology. (I remember when I thought "Tron" or "Black Hole" technology was awesome!) So very realistic but still cartoonish enough, ya know? My daughter (7) was quiet throughout the ENTIRE movie. I had to check on her to make sure she wasn't sleeping. I loved it. There was just enough adult style humor that the kids under 13 will not get so us parents could giggle and not worry about akward questions. Kind of like Toy Story or Shrek.
I give this movie 2 thumbs up and can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
