I'm putting this here, because if one of these kids aggrevates a skunk, we'll hear about it here, won't we?
Everyone's heard about tomato juice for skunk attacks, but I've never really found that it works all that well.
A German lady clued my in to another remedy years ago. Keep some envelopes of Massengill's Powdered Douche handy. (It DOES have to be the powder). Mix with water & SATURATE the dog's coat with it. Let it sit for about 15 minutes (or however long you can hold the dog), then rinse well. If you've got leftovers, do it again, then rinse.
It really does work well. I'm not saying that it will take away every bit of odor, but nothing I've ever used did, either. But it seems to work best of all. And it's simple.
If you take your weiner on camping trips with you, be sure to slip a few envelopes into his ditty bag.
