So, I was ar work today and reception called and said "There's a very important visitor for you". when I went downstairs one of my co-workers had brought in their 9 week old Yorkie called Jack! Awwwww, he was so gorgeous, I held him and he weighed nothing at all but I could feel his heartbeat and the look on his face was like "Well, I'm not sure why I'm here but I'm being cuddled so....", of course when I got home Shelbie took one sniff and gave me the "YOU'VE been with another dog, how COULD you" look! Anyway, later on, my neighbour gave me a package that had come but I hadn't been in and it was a towel that I had sent over with Shelbie when we went on holiday to the lady who had been looking after her, well, Shelbie went mad....she seemed to know who it had come from and all those smells drove her crazy.....took the edge off me cuddling another dog anyway!!

There you go, Shelbie--you have your own friends too! And they send you nice things through the mail!

Oh, Miss Shelbie, how they cater to you! Prezzies through the mail? What a lucky girl you are!

And don't you worry about your mommy! She was simply wearing her new perfume, Eau de York! I hear the former duchess wears it too!!!

Shelbie . . . your hoomom "cheated on you"?!

How awful to be betrayed in such a way. Does she show remorse for the dastardly act?

Maybe you could forgive her, just this once, for this monumental indescretion.

Well, have been sniffing very carefully since "the incident" and she hasn't come home smelling of little Yorkie puppy since so I can only hope it was a one time only indescretion - was a bit frightened she would come home with the puppy itself but she assures me that I'm her one and only and has been singing the song about how she loves me "more than all the stars in the sky" alot recently so paws crossed. My Auntie Karen is coming over tonight, she's lovely, I know she's far too grand to leap on as I do with other friends that come over and just sit at her feet gazing up in adoration! Mum made something called "reservations" at a restaurant tonight and I'm thinking of wearing my pearls....hang on, last time she made these reservations I had to stay home and watch something called "Wheel of Fortune" - they wouldn't would they?

Oh dearest Shelbie,

The reality may be that your mum is fickle. Please let us know if she made you endure the "Wheel" while she went out to a restaurant and partied. Please don't be too disappointed . . . it is a hooman thing. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/blah.gif

They did it again. One moment we're all sitting having a lovely time, the next I'm given a biscuit, told to be a good girl and the three of them put their coats on and out they went, leaving me watching Celebrity Big Brother while they stuffed their faces. Well, I showed them, be a good girl they said so I was, all over the carpet Mum was a bit cross but I think she's forgiven me now!

Dearest Shelbie,

It's a strange thing about those Hoooparents. They KNOW what will happen when they go against us, but they never learn. It gets sooooo tiring to try and train them over and over again- only to see them fail basic dachsie instruction!

I howl and flip over rugs when I'm put in solidary confinement and everybody runs off to have a good time in the Truck Time Machine, yet those dull hooparents never learn-

Keep trying and stiff bristled upper lip,
