Do you go out and buy your baby clothes or do you make them?
Chapo has: a Superman cape and leopard print cape that i made him.
2 sweaters, 1 hawaiian shirt, 2 fleecey coats (for IN weather), military style coat (cuz he's Top Dog), 1 devil costume, numerous t-shirts. I bought him 2 baby onesies and fixed them so he could wear them with "Metallica" and "Ozzy Rules" on it at Hot Topic. $18 each and I cut them up. Petsmart had those cool polo like shirts and i bought all of those colors for his birthday. Bri thinks I'm nuts. :D
I'm looking for more!

But actually I do have sweaters and coats for going outside for Con when it is freezing. I imagine Zor will need something too. Any time I have gotten them to wear anything it has to be worn under strict supervision. Then it was OK! But as soon as I forgot about it some how the clothing would end up chewed up and spit out so to speak. But Zor does like his pooch pouch! He out grew his favorite one though.
Chewy and Ivy both have long hair and don't need anything to stay warm. Ivy has her Hug A Dox halter does that count as clothing? Let see what is the proper attire for lounging around the house? :book: Aww what the heck
my doxies all like :spotting: going butt nakk-ed around the house. :anon:

Mr. Butters:
Fleece lined jacket
Christmas t-shirt with a letter to "santa paws" on it
T-shirt that says "dog leg left golf club" (daddy's a golfer)
Green polo for dressier occasions
Sweaters (about 4)
Costumes- policeman, hot dog, superdog
Boots
Ms. Rigby:
Pink shirt that says "itsy bitsy teenie weenie"
Sweaters- red, pink, & purple
Costume- skunk
I buy them. The only one I made was the hot dog because I will not spend $50 on a dog costume.

except we have two Hug-A-Dox halters. We are in FL, so clothing could get kind of warm on top of their fur.
I like to see other tolerant dressed-up dachsies though :)

Yes, Gunner Sure Does. I Buy His But Should Make Them, It Would Be Cheaper.

Brekke doesn't have much - just a raincoat, three sweaters, a sun visor, and a medieval costume for the Halloween parade at school next Friday. I will be "Eleanor of Aquitaine", and Rick will be "Henry II", so Brekke will be a lady-in-waiting! :D Julia B.

I think the huggies count! They are very fashionable in the doxie world!
Chapo is a streaker...he loves being nekkid. He doesn't fuss too much when put something on him. If we see or feel him shivering we get him a t shirt, or dress him up when we go some place.

All we have is a hot dog costume and a bandana. Harley is usually a nekkid baby!

I agree with Gunner'sMom, we would love to see a picture of the 3 of you for Halloween. It is very sad to think there is a beautiful chocolate longhair out there that is not being pictured CONSTANTLY on the DBB. :)

I, too, come from a family of *gasp* nekkid dogs. It seems that both Ripley and Kaze would rather brave our Colorado winters on their own than suffer the indignity of wearing clothing. I think Ripley uses it to her advantage, though, because if she starts to shiver she knows all she has to do is come to wherever we are and bat her eyelashes... then *poof!* she's under a blanket with a human. (I know I'm being played here... do I care?)
I do have several pupper Christmas costumes I picked up several years ago for a few $$ each, though, that Ripley and Kaze will only submit to wearing if the bribes are high enough, and even then Ripley will give me the "what did I ever do to YOU?" look the entire time she's dressed up. Kaze is only slightly more patient. Brendan (the lab/chow) will suffer any sort of silly attire, as long as he's profusely lavished upon with love and full-body scratches.
I did have a pair of those magnetic flashing LED lights that I put on Kaze's ears, though, a couple weeks ago and he looked... well, I can't decide if he looked stunning or stunned. I'm pondering making (buying?) him a bat or vampire costume for next year. We'll see if I can coerce him into that one long enough for pictures ;)

Clothes in our house consist of neck ruffles for the major holidays which I bought from the disabled dachshund society and a wardrobe of collars and leashes. It is too hot in Alabama for clothes especially with long hairs. We have hug a dox halters and sometimes even the mesh ones are too hot during the summer.

I'm Not Sure If Gunner Realy Loves Dressing Up Or Not But When We Ask Him If He Wants To Go Bye-bye Or Goforaride He Runs To The Bedroom Where All His Clothes And Bandanas/collars Are And Just Wants To Put Something On, Even If It Is Just Changing His Collar. I Think He Tolerates It Cause He Knows He Will Go Somewhere. We Started Putting Different Clothing/ Collars On Him Since He Was 7-8 Wks. Old And I Guess He Thinks It Is The Thing To Do. :)

Nekkid!
Olay, Trenyce had a purple animal print coat and a "snood" when she was little. Would NOT wear anything on her ears, but wouldn't go in snow without her coat. My Mom made her a bigger, very plain fleece coat for this winter. Rick put the coat on Ruben once and made fun of him. Since then, Ruben won't even stay in the same room with us when we put Trenyce's new coat on her. He uses it to drag her around outside mostly, so that's all she's going to wear.

Tasha would rather be naked too--she is in the apartment--but we have two coats, three sweatshirts and a raincoat, now that things are getting cooler here. But when we go to the park we remove her coat when we get there and she bounds around enough to keep warm while naked.

Oh geeeeeeeeeeez...they have two big drawers in my dresser stuffed with shirts, dresses, sweaters, hats, etc. I'm not a slave to fashion, but they are! :bowing2:
I want to take sewing classes so I can make them outfits! (And being a short hooman, learning to sew will save TONS of money getting pants/jackets altered!) :D
When we are at work, I keep baby girl's body covered since she is so skinny and atrophied her ribs show, it keep her from getting dirty, scrapes or ?
The outfits I bought for them when they were pups now fit baby girl again. (recycled hand me downs!)

Willow has a red water-resistant "parka" for wet snow and VERY cold weather and wind.
Last year I got her a brown/leopard reversible fleece coat with a leopard snood.
This year I had a longer fleece coat made (the brown/leopard one is a bit skimpy, but still good for fairly cold weather) It it is gray on one side and print on the other. And a matching gray snood that is a bit bigger than her old one. Which has gotten tight. So when the gray side is worn outward with the snood they are "long undies" for under the red parka. When it gets down around -20 or so, that is the outfit of choice. She is not thrilled, but she knows it is warmer than going without. She really dislikes sweaters. I have a few of Duffy's that I have saved. But Willow won't wear them.
So the tally:
One Parka
Two coats (reversible, so 4 "looks")
Two snoods (one a bit too tight to be comfy)
