Her grandma decided to do me a favor by "washing" the Wiggle Giggle ball. Now the thing is a Grunting Chortling ball. Well, Isobel would push at it then, when it made those horrid noises, she'd look up at me with those soft brown eyes that seemed to say, "What the h*** is wrong with my ball?" and walk away.

Grandma made good on her bad decision and bought her a new one, only this time it was a small one.

I now have a raving lunatic for a wiener dog!!!! I have to hide the ball on the top shelf of a closet--and she still camps in front of the door staring at it, then she gives me the L@@K. Twice a day we play with that squealing ball up and down the hallway. It's not enough for Isobel. She's even taken the big one out for runs down the hallway as a way to ease her addiction. She mowed both pits down last night when they got in her way. I've never seen pit bulls scatter before http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif

I'm trying to get pics of her playing with this thing--she is a wiener possessed!

Thought I'd share my furkids illness with you all . . .

Pictures are DEFINITELY in order. Isobel looks like such a sweet lady, I can't imagine her in the throes of Wiggle-Giggle addiction!

Isobel, you go girl.......mow 'em down and tell Mama Mary you have to have the w/g ball ALL the time, that it is NOT fattening. Lili just barks at hers.

Yes photo's are in order. My boys just ignore their ball so I guess they don't have to worry about this addiction.

Guy's sister Pindi (who does not live with us)has one of those Giggle Balls she goes nuts with it also and goes to the closet to sit up and Beg for it.Hre owner wanted to get one for Guy I put my foot down and said NO!! I have Grand children and the toys they have talk and such so I will NOT have a ball that Guy would never stop playing with making noise too.

Timber doesn't have a wiggle giggle ball, but he does seem to have an addiction with one of his toys. He has a spiky squeaky ball, and for some reason, whenever he plays with it, he growls and barks at it! He can easliy pick it up, so I don't know what it is with that ball.

Mary, you couldn't be referring to the quiet & reserved little Isobel that I met last weekend? http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif Possessed? http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/dizzy.gif http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

I'm looking forward to the photos.

Guys--don't let her cuteness fool you. She is a pup possessed!!!! I am trying to get pictures, but she moves too quickly and I keep getting butt shots

I really can't believe she is like this as no one toy ever held her in thrall before. We'd play with the big one, but she could walk away from it when she wanted to. This little one flipped a switch in her and I can't find the off button.

Mark, next time we pop over, I'll bring the ball and show you and Char--you will not believe her. Her eyes glaze over and she has spit on her whiskers cuz she gets sooo wound up. I have no idea what spirit is taking over my little lady!

It sounds a lot like the obsession two of my folks girls (Jo and Candy) use to get when we would let them have a plastic kids play/kick ball in the backyard. They would run non stop around the yard pushing and guiding those balls with their nose and shoulders. They would not stop till you took the ball away from then and then they start giving the look and talking demanding the ball back despite their huffing and puffing. Thanks for shaking loose some fond memories.

Mary, that is hilarious! Freddie once had the W. Giggly Ball, at first he ignored it, THEN one day became obsessed with it! But it really made too much noise with him banging the thing into walls (I live in an Apt.). One day I examined the ball and it was kinda cracked. I couldn't believe it! So, I decided that was the end of that and tossed it out, not replacing it.
Freddie now has this red ball (baseball size) that has a real high pitch squeak that he goes nuts over. We have this ritual, I set it up high on the counter at night, then the next day when I get up, that ball is the FIRST thing he wants! Forget about giving me a morning kiss, all he wants is that ball! So while I'm fixing his meal, he's squeaking the daylights out of it, barking and growling. After he eats, he's done with the ball until next morning.

I'm weirded out by the toy thing in general.

We have this red bone that I bought because it looked indestructable...and, so of course, neither Chaucer nor Gidget would ever play with it.

Lance came, and he wouldn't touch it either..

Then Emmy arrived. And she LOVES this red bone and now, suddenly, EVERYONE must have the red bone and it is like *the* toy. Emmy is defintely the most dominant doggie in the house and it's like they want to _Copy_ her. It's so strange...

Mary, this is so funny, I can picture this perfectly, because Otis stares at the closet where his rawhide sticks are kept like that, too. If I don't give him one, he lays down and pouts.

When Otis got his wiggle-giggle bone for Christmas, the box said,"not to be used as a chew toy." Unfortunately, Otis hasn't learned to read, and he now has 1/2 of a wiggle-giggle bone! He spits out the pieces, so it's still in his toy box, but he kinda spoiled the effect of the toy! Ya never know what these little stinkers will decide to do!
