I'm a GRANDMA!!

Between approx. 5am and 8am this morning, Talia delivered 4 beautiful babies!! I haven't slept in almost 48 hours waiting for these little ones to arrive. It looks like we have two red sable boys like Drake and two black/tan, one boy & one girl, like their pretty momma!

Congratulations--Grandma. Both Mom and babies look tired, too. They're beautiful!!! I can't wait till later to see more pictures. I've never seen newborn doxie pups before so thanks for posting. They're sooo CUTE.

Talia and the babies just got back from Doc Patchell's office a little while ago and they are all doing great! All of the pups are healthy and strong and momma is doing a terrific job taking care of her babies!

I just finished getting the pics up on the website for anyone interested in seeing the little mamma in action. I do have to warn you though, some of the pics are kind of graphic! But, I just couldn't resist sharing them!! I'm so proud of our little girl! Also, it may take the page a while to load... I couldn't pick out just a few, I had to post them all. The little ones are so cute and their mama looks very proud. I have not yet got a picture of my little one, but she certainly does not look very much different from your babies, butof course she is six days older. I do think one of the best ways to relax is to watch at sleeping, satisfied puppies...

Just an update on the babies...

They are 12 days old today... the little girl is the biggest of the bunch... she outweighs the boys by almost 3oz!! They are all over one pound now. They are growing so fast... it's hard to believe that they fit in the palm of my hand just 12 days ago!

Their markings are really starting to show and their hair is finally starting to grow! They have little ridges of hair up the back of their legs and on their chests... it's so neat to get to watch them every step of the way!

How adorable. I love the way the camera caught Talia's eye. She must have been focusing on you the whole time. Did you two attend LaMaze?

That is just too funny, georgette! I never thought about it before, but I think dogs automatically know LaMaze! When Talia was having a contraction, I would hold her tummy and she breathed rythmically and controlled... if only it came so natural to us!! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif
