Finally got all of my Retirement paperwork back!! My last day at this Command will be the 7th of April 2005! I will have 20 days House/Job Hunting at no cost to me. Then I have 64 days of "Terminal Leave"! 84 days of paid vacation!! WOOHHOOO!!! My final day in the Navy will be the 30th of June 2005. It has been a long 20 years! I am so looking forward to getting a job where I don't have to be away from home six months at a time and can be home every night and weekends.
Other than that good news, I have been underway now for 2 weeks with another 3 weeks or so before I hit port again. JoJo and Little Bit are doing great! He had three puppy teeth removed a couple of weeks ago and Jo said it helped him alot. His breath was really bad she said until the Vet pulled the teeth. Now she can enjoy her puppy kisses with out having to hold her breath!! :faint: He did pretty good with the rain, he learned to use the cement in the garage for his potty spot while it rained. Once it quit raining he started to ask to go outside again.
Well, that about does it for news out here. I will update all of you when I can again. Have a great weekend all!!

Until next time,

:wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

Wow. That is great! Sounds like you might make it home in time for Thanksgiving, or at least Christmas. 20 years in the military, that is impressive! Thank you for all your service to our country. :appl:

Congrats on your pending "retirement". If it is anything like when my father retired (26 yrs AF), he jumped right into the civilian workforce and loves it. He did have a bit of time off accumulated like you do and started pounding the pavement for a new job. That man can't stand not working.

Congrats and stay safe! :cheer:

How great!!!! Well, Jack- you DEFINITELY deserve your days off. Congratulations on your impending retirement- and I hope you find EVERYTHING you want!

We have a lot of you retired Navy folk at MY job, you know. And Orlando really is a beautiful place to live (if you can look past the hurricanes of '04, of course...). ;)

Oh, HECK no! I refuse to look the buyers in the eye, I hate that damned house so badly. Not selling it to anyone I know- at least, not anyone I know and remotely LIKE. :)

There are plenty of UN-CURSED houses here, too, though. ;)

Congratulations on the impending retirement - now you have TWO countdowns underway - one to be home for Christmas, and the other for a return to civilian life! I bet Jo and Little Bit will be thrilled to have you around full time!
