Better hope he doesn't come close to me - I am feeling dachsie-deprived right now! Julia B.

He sure is a handsome boy! I bet he gets mistaken for a girl quite a bit. :D

I love his coat... it is so long, and it looks like mom brushes it regularly to keep it shiny. :)

I am glad Angel's is still pretty short for a LH... she doesn't really like being brushed. She hides under the couch.

Yes, people think he should be a girl with all that beautiful hair.
He seems VERY long haired to me as well. The hair on his sides does reach the grass and carpet these days. His tail hair did touch the ground when he held it out, but after some brushing, it got a little shorter. Poor boy doesn't like his tail or behind brushed. In fact, when he had a big old snarl, and Daddy wouldn't let me cut it out, when I was done, Ruben was so mad he peed on the carpet. At least he doesn't hide like Angel. He tolerates being brushed regularly because it gives him more one on one with me. I took him to the groomer to have his blond butt trimmed, as that hair was dragging on the ground like some long veil. She trims his fuzzy feet too. I guess he does get darker with the fall season setting in because right now, there is no red showing on his back and sides at all.
He's lost his mask now. All that's left is a little black streak up his forehead.
We make fun of how we didn't want him, but sorry Julia, we won't trade him, or give him away, as he is the sweetest dog I've ever had! :muchlove:
And yes, that's U of O. Hubby is a big fan, being from Oregon and all.

He is a very handsome young man. I don't blam him for being mad about the matted hair inncident. He would have probably rather you just cut it out. He know he cute so what does it matter if there is a "hole" in his coat!
