I have been going on not much sleep lately. I had to get up at 4:30am Saturday to get Sofie ready for the show and then Sunday again at 5am ( BTW, Sofie got Reserve on Sunday). Today they decided it was our new routine and finally got me up at 5:30am ( that's after going to bed almost at midnight). Somehow, I misplaced Rumble's eye meds last night. I gave it to him and then I have no idea what I did with them. I've been looking all over the house and can't figure out what happened. It's like I totally blacked out that moment. I usually always put it in a special baggy we have for his meds but it's empty. Something must have had me distracted.
I do have refills handy so, he is not missing out on his meds. It's just that his Optimmune alone is $30-$45 for a little tube and the one I can't find was just opened. Antibiotic tube was almost used up and the artificial tears are cheap to replace. Boy, I wish for superpowers to help me find the meds. Just puzzles me what I could have done with 3 tubes! :dizzy: :yikes: :(

These loko like the healing rayz... but don't be confused... they are the help finding :rayz: :rayz: :rayz:
Could Natasha have hidden them somewhere? Maybe one of the other pups found it and hid them in their favorite spot?
Wish I was more help!

Speaking of Natasha... have you recruited her to help you look? Kids are good at searching. :)

It was a bad weekend for medications it seems. I had two guest doxies (their foster mom needed to leave town). Both the boys were on antibotics and ear meds. Bad previous owners - both had ear infections. Anyway, my foster doxie (the blind double dapple) got up on my desk, got down the antibotics and ear meds. and then (I am guessing, I was upstairs asleep) he and possibly Sophie and Lili ate what would have amounted to about a months worth of Baytril ...
Fortunatly, we knew this happened within about 30 min. ...unfortunatly for the dogs, this meant I had to make them barf on the off chance one of them got the motherload. Too much Baytril is bad for their kidneys. So by 9am. I had three barfing doxies. I knew for a fact that the rest of the crew did not take part as they were not free to roam until I was up (thank god...8 barfing dogs would have been too much). I told the boy's foster mom that I was a failure at fostering. Not sure they will let me have a foster dog when the time comes that I am ready (I have to get a new fence first)......

At least you were on the move when you misplaced them - I loose stuff and don't even leave my desk. Do get Natasha to help you look. Poor Adam has been looking for my stuff most of his life. He really laughs when he has to find my glasses...

Thanks but haven't found it so far. Natasha did try helping. I hope that in my daze I didn't throw it away or something like that. Just to be on the safe side in case I misplace the current set of meds, I ordered refills for everything. I like to have a spare set in a cabinet for days like this.
It's so frustrating to not be able to remember. Just kills me!

Did you check your pockets? Both Chris and I are notorious for leaving things in pockets of whatever we are wearing - especially first thing in the morning when I throw on "whatever" to walk the dogs.

Olga I feel your frustration! I did the same thing a while back and truly thought I had lost my mind. I ended up finding my missing items in the trash can. Still in the store bag :yikes: . My daughter, Dosha, told me "Mom, sometimes you just gotta let your brain rest.". Out of the mouths of babes. I find now that if I am missing something, if I can just sit down in a quiet area for a few minutes....with no distractions, I can mentally trace back my steps. Then if THAT fails, I can scream.... ;)
Help finding rayz :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: are on their way. And :hugs1: to you to reassure you that you are not going nuts.... :hugs1: :hugs1: :hugs1: . It happens to all of us sooner or later....just seems that in my case it is happening sooner  .

I had to help my mom find the phone last Christmas. We called from the other line and followed the sound. Turned up in a kitchen cupboard, where we keep pasta and rice etc...
From real life experience: Check the freezer and the fridge, see if one of the dogs put it in a shoe under the bed (that's where we found grandma's dentures :D ), on top of the fridge, next to the phone, next to the leashes, in the basement...
that list should keep you busy for a while ;)
Good luck!

Is there anything more frustrating than losing something in your own house? Makes me want to pull my hair out when it happens. Poor you. You sound frazzled. :hugs1: :hugs1: these are good luck hugs for finding the misplaced meds.

Good luck in finding your meds. I, too, will sit down and trace from the last time I saw something...now the keys were used to open the house, then I put everything on the washing machine, and still holding my keys, went to get the groceries, brought the groceries in, had to go in the guest room for something.....there they are, in the guest room. :D
