Is there a certain age when a pup is full-grown or mostly full-grown? I ordered a Puppia harness for Napoleon and it fits him now, but there's not a lot of growing room so I am wondering if I should get the next size up. He is 17 weeks old and about 7 pounds. I only have the pics of his parents - his mom looks very petite but his dad does not. I love that he is small but I do want him to get a little bigger!!

Oh, I'd bet he has a few more months of filling out to do. My boys grew in spurts from 5-9 months. 17 weeks is definitely not full grown- and chest size is one of the areas that tends to fill in later. So if you're worried- bump up a size. :)

Tess was over a year when her chest filled out and Will'em is still developing his chest at 16 months.

Okay thanks...another question then - anyone have a pup between 10-15 pounds and know what his/her chest size is? The small harness is supposed to be for 12.5-16 inches and medium is 14-19 inches. I measured Napoleon the other day and his chest size was 13 inches. But the neck area on the harness seems small and there's not a whole lot of adjustment left on the chest, it seems...

Badger is between 12 -13 lbs and his chest, just behind his front legs, measures 16"

Speck will be 10 months old this month and is 17 lbs - his chest is 18" right behind his front legs. His mom is only about 8 lbs and his dad *might* be 10 or 11 lbs. Speck is a big boy though - *very* solid.

Charlie hasn't really grown any since he turned a year in May. He was weighed in September and he was 7 1/2 pounds. He seems maybe a bit wider but hasn't gained any weight.
