On Friday night we were going to get an On Demand movie. I went upstairs to change into my pjs. Harley followed me. I noticed that he had something in his mouth. I yelled drop it and went down quickly to get it.
I bent down so quick that my head hit the wall. Next thing I know, Harley is on my belly licking me and the BF is running up the steps yelling, "What the heck was that?" I had knocked myself out cold for a couple of seconds. I reach up and touch my head and I'm bleeding.
So it was off to the ER very quickly. I have a concussion and a nice 2 inch long cut/scrape starting at my hairline. I still have my headache and Advil is my best friend right now!
I never did figure out what Harley was chewing on! :dunno:
Lesson is: Watch out for those walls! :banghead:
P.S. This is my 5th concussion.

Darn those walls! They're ALWAYS coming RIGHT at me- when I'm just innocently trying to get around. I can't count how many times I've stubbed toes, bruised knees and feet (and my ego!) walking into walls. But YOU have me beat! I've never managed to knock myself OUT with one- tho the pain of a wall-stubbed toe is often ALMOST enough to do that...
I'm sorry, Donna- poor thing! Harley sure is a little love, though- making sure you were okay! I hope you're good as new soon- and that the wall stays out of your WAY from now on!!! :D

Oh Donna, first let me apoligize for laughing at your misfortune.
I just couldn't help it, it just struck a funny bone with me! :dizzy:
I am glad you are ok and that Harley and you BF were there to help you.
The only time I have passed out was when I had a bloody nose that wouldn't stop. I think I lost too much blood! Yikes! :faint: I remember how scary that was.
Donna, Donna, queen of the jungle....watch out for that wall! (from george of the jungle movie)
Hope that cheers you up for the day! :hugs1:

Like Chrissie, I've stubbed a lot of toes (even broke one) and bruised elbows and hips. I've even hit my head several times, but I never knocked myself out. Hope you're feeling better now.

Patrice, you only broke 1 toe?
I've broken toes over and over again. Plus a few fingers. Cracked opened my skull at the age of 4. Cracked my knee cap during a high school basketball game. Broke my foot in college. The list goes on....
My old manager nicknamed me Danger-prone Donna!
How many advil can I take in one day? Is 12 tablets by 4 pm pushing it?

Donna, I am glad it wasn't more serious. I know the feeling of injured heads, though. Those cabinets get me every time! :faint:
I'm sorry to hear you ended up with a concussion. :(
Sending you many :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: from CA to help you feel better soon. Those darn walls keep changing places here. :)

The pharmacist says... "the max. recommended dose of ibuprofen is 800mg 3 or 4 times daily (this would be prescription strength), assuming you have no history of kidney problems, bleeding disorder, ulcer, etc. :D
The currently off-duty-pharmacist says... "Wow, now I don't feel quite so bad about constantly bumping into doorframes, coffee tables, and other consistently stationary objects." 5 concussions - OUCH. Here are some rayz for the headache to go away :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: . That's why it's good that you have a Guard Dachshund around. Or would that be a Guide Dachshund? - no, must not be a Guide Dachshund... since he guided your head into a wall. :faint:

Glad you're ok! That's scary!
I pass out whenver I give blood. I have to have it taken for routine bloodwork and I have been putting it off and putting it off because I know I will pass out and wake up sick for hours. I hate it. So I can imagine what it must have felt like for you. Not fun at all.
I hope you heal quickly. Tell Harley to be an extra good boy while you're healing.

Oh Donna! I'm glad your better!! That sucks on a Friday night. I had to wake my hubby up at 1 AM because I was cleaning and slipped and cracked my knee on the counter. I needed 6 stiches and if I had done it any harder I would have cut my patellar ligament! YUK! He was not happy to come home at 3 AM and wake up 2 hours later for work.
Concussions suck! :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: to help you feel better soon! Extra treats for your little punkin for helping you wake up!

Oh my!!! I hope your noggen feels better! That's an awful thing to have happen, and I can imagine a painful thing.
I haven't ever knocked myself out, I don't think at least, when I got a broken nose I believe I blacked out for a second when I feel backwards. haha Claire grabs up stuff alot herself, she has learnt what drop it means over time, lol, sometimes she's too fast.

But I am glad that you didn't get hurt worse. Wow 5X'z! I only have gotten knocked out in car accidents. But I know what you mean I have had a headache for the past 2 days. Good thing I can get into the chiropractor tomorrow.
Stay away from those moving walls!
