Last night I was working late at the computer. I finally noticed the time and it was way past my normal bedtime. Well I decided to go to bed and low and behold I could not find Omar anywhere. I called his name and looked everywhere but no Omar. I finally went to the bedroom and under the comforter was a little round rump in the middle of the bed. I picked up the comforter and all I got was that L@@k. I know if Omar could talk he would said "Well it is about time you decided to go to bed, I gave up waiting for you hours ago."
Leave it to a dachshund to know when the bedtime schedule is not being followed and decide to get under the warm and cozy blankets himself.

Well he does need his beauty sleep you know! That he went all by his self well I'm impressed wish my little bundle of energy would do that. But of course the bed is to high for her to climb into by herself. Mitzi in the last few weeks has discovered sleeping under the covers but boy her nose sure can be cold.

Shonda,
I can relate to cold noses. Especially when they get you right in the back of the knees or under your armpit. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif
Believe you me, my hounds would be in the big bed at the strike of 10....or sooner http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif IF they could get on the bed. We must place them there ourselves as we have a VERY tall 4 poster job. They do sack out on the computer room futon though. Sometimes I can hear them snore in unison from my puter chair. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif

Just last night, it was 9:30 and I was folding laundry, we are usually in bed at 9:00. Well, Oscar went to sleep on one of his beds, he doesn't wait for us!

After about 8:00 at night we have to block the bottom of the stairs or Annie will go up there by herself. She can't get on the bed without help either, but every night she forgets that part and tries to go to bed by herself! My mother's dog stands in the doorway to the bedroom and barks sharply at her when she considers it's bedtime. Little bullies!

Buddy sleeps in his crate at night. So when he is ready for bed he'll crawl off my lap and in he goes. If I shut the door he will push his blanket in front of the door so we don't disturb him. And in the morning if his blanket is still in front of the door you better not wake him up.
