Just thought I would open this poll, so that we could see all the different things that our kids will get this Christmas.
I am going to buy them chews and toys to play with. THey love the teething ring from Target. I am going to buy some more of those, so that they dont fight over the 2 I have now.

I already have a few toys for Chapo and Gunner. They will also get some Flossies and Bully Sticks. I want to find a cute stuffed Teddy Bear for them. I'm also looking for a new bed for Gunner. Walmart had some cute little beds that looked like d dog house, he already has one but I washed it so much it is falling apart , when I went there to pick one up there where all gone. :( I was so disappointed cause he realy loves this little house. I put a fleecy in there and he is happy. I buy him the martha stewart fleece, it is thicker than most, and he just loves it. My husband said he will buy him a size 3 soccer ball for x-mas. He was a soccer coach for 12 yrs. I guess he is going to work with Gunner on soccer. Ha-Ha :)

They will each get a natural balance roll in their stockings along with some other goodies and small toys. Under the tree, I am still hoping for car seats, they will each be getting some new toys since the others are pretty well worn out and a new Steelers blanket since they fight over the one we have. If I can't find a Steelers blanket here in TN I'll get them a Titans blanket. I know they are smart - but I don't think they can read - yet.

Not only do WE buy them presents, they get gifts from both my sets of parents and usually they get treats at the annual xmas party (next weekend). So they will be hopelessly spoiled rotten.
"Santa" has already stashed some hedgehogs and will be picking up some smoked marrow bones for xmas morning! We also buy presents for ALL the puppers in the family (my mom has a Rodesian Ridgeback/lab cross and my dad has a terrier mix).

RED HAIRED GIRL---I hope you get the car seat. Gunner loves his. J.C PENNYS has them for 69.99 and if you can get one of their coupons you can get 25% of on the order. You might want to get them a harness to go with that. I would worry with a collar so they don't jump out and strangle themselves. Gunner is real good in his, we have a HUG-A-DOX harness that we use with it. Good luck. :)

Yup they are the only one's I bought a lot for already. I bought each one a tiny little crate yesterday--you can get them at dollar stores and you but some treats underneath the crate (you turn it upside down) and it supposed to keep them busy they can scoot it all over the floor, I read this in a doggie magazine. I figured it is worth the try. If it doesn't Oh well, not a lot of money lost. :)

When you realy think about it all our puppers are realy lucky. They are all spoiled, they have good homes, they are very loved. Then I go to Petsmart and see all the dogs up for adoption and it realy breaks my heart. I always try to buy some Food and Milk Bones fore the humane society to give them at x-mas.

Toys, treats and a dog nest from Orvis. I got one of their large ones for 35.00, found it on sale, they are normally around 75.00. It has a strudy zip off cover and it is big and fluffy, just how my kids like em.

The DH usually grills mine a steak of their very own for Christmas. It's a very popular gift.

Steak sure sounds good to me, I can see them go after that--Ha-Ha. See how spoiled all our babies are, they are so lucky. Everyone has their own way of spoiling them, plus they are all soooooo loved.

I've already started buying toys for Oliver for Xmas. Can't help myself I'm afraid. I want to buy him something nice and smelly that he could smell through the wrapper just to see if he'll open it. I also want to get him one of those "covered snuggle" beds.

That is wonderful! I have picked up some treats for the humane society already. I work in surgery though so I can't give them to the pups and kitties I work with. I do have lots of pals in adoption though ;)
Am I GOING to buy presents for the fur kids. Hehe. I've already spent $120 at petsedge. They got new coats and a bunch of treats and I also bought like 10 stuffies. They have to share them with the terriers in WI though but I know their auntie there has been busy christmas shoppping as well. I would really like to get them a soft fluffy bed. I love the ones from ll bean but they have destuffed every bed they've ever had so I think we'll wait a few more years. They prefer the sofa anyway.
Just out of curiosity, if Tanya should read this post, what do you get a hedgehog for christmas?

Prickles will be getting a new vellux blankie (we use them as liners for her house), probably some new sleeping bags, meal worms, and my husband will probably make her favorite dinner salmon! :)

Grandma and Grandpa bought them the AKC rabbit and duck from Target. My parents & sister are also planning on buying them stuff. I know Paul is getting them gigantic rawhide candy canes (just to watch them drag it around the living room) and I'm getting them stuffed toys to destroy. Their present is me cleaning up after the destruction!

My two will probably get Greenies, some other various chews/snacks and definatly new toys. Claire suddenly decided after almost a year of keeping her toys nice that it's more fun to tear into them.... lol

This is the first Christmas that will just be the 4 of us (this is our 3rd year after moving to FL and the first 2 years we had parents - his or mine - visiting then). So yes, there will be celebrating, and yes, Santa will come for two little girls!!
I am hoping to buy or make some bedding that is Angel-resistant, and I will get them some toys and chews. I think I might let Cassie have a CET chew since she loves them (and I will put her in the other room so her sister can't take it). She eats them fast so she doesn't get them very often (I don't think they're very nutritious on a daily basis).
I see hedgehogs at pet stores, and they remind me of Prickles, so I can't buy them. :D We have stuffed balls (one is a football) and bone shapes and we had a stuffed John Deere tractor until the Destroyer ripped it.

Every time Igo out I bring something back for Casey! I guess I feel guilty about leaving him at home. :(

So who's had experience with their doxies opening gifts? I was thinking of getting Oliver something kinda stinky (the way they like it) and wrapping it to see if he'll tear off the wrapper to get to it..anyone got any suggestions?

Dogs LOVE to open things. You could wrap their kibble and they would think it was an exciting present. But yes, if you let them open a present, they may think all presents are theirs for the opening (now and in the future). This is okay in our house as presents are not kept on the floor. My cocker, Amber, will sometimes sniff them and do some inspecting at my mom's house, but she is a mature 12-year-old young lady and knows she shouldn't open them unless we tell her it's ok. :angel1:

There might be a picture here... or I might be the only one who can see it. I don't really understand how to use photobucket yet.

I got Gunner and Chapo a Boingo Ball yesterday at Petsmart I think it is going to be a favorit. It makes a noise like a babies rattle. Looks like Gunner might not be able to destroy it that quick.:)

What a sweet thing to do! Yes, for the most part, our puppers are VERY lucky. I often donate food and/or money to the Petco adoption folks when they have animals there. I never thought about doing something special for Christmas, though - good idea!
And yes, I will most likely give mine toys, bones, harnesses, coats, and who knows what else, depending on how much sewing I get done. That's why we have them - to spoil, right?! After all the unconditional love they give us, that's the least we can do for them.

Some clothes, maybe proper doxie harnesses, and blankies for this Christmas. If I can afford to change my bedroom furniture, then there would be space for better steps up to the big bed (the Rubbermaid step works pretty well for now).
Valentin is too fat for his snowsuit, pjs, etc. Heidi has her new cart and stroller. (AND Heidi's trip to see her former foster mom in October at the Doxie Phest in VA). How do you spell spoilt??? VALENTIN & HEIDI HO HO

This Christmas each of my dogs will be getting new collars from 3 dirty dawgz (http://3dirtydawgz.com) (Tia is in desperate need especially, I haven't bought her a new one in about 2 years - it still looks good though).
Besides that, they'll also all get a couple new toys each and I'm thinking of getting Tia her first hug-a-dox harness aswell but am not sure yet..

I am starting to buy a few things for my furkids, all the human kids have moved away and the furkids are our babies now. They will get toys, chews, and anything else I can find I think they will enjoy. They put in a new pet store over town and I dont think it will make a go of it but anyway I stopped in to check it out. They had this beagle puppy and I just love beagles. Anyway I stopped to chat with him and looked around the little store and then left. As I was going out the door he started to carry on when he saw me leaving. I felt so bad I wanted to hug him and take him with me but with 8 doxys of my own I knew I couldnt. I know I cant take them all home, oh if only I could.
