I live in Ontario.... in a rural setting. I am interested and absolutely willing to give a good and loving home to a dachsie that needs one. I have three dogs now... and 16 cats.... many of them have found their way to me because they were abused or abandoned. The youngest member of the family is a 7 month old standard dachsie male... Willie. He very quickly has become the adored baby of the entire menagerie.... I think that was his plan from the very beginning!
The three dogs have become the 'three boys'... Jake is a 14 year old golden retriever who has been with me since the day he was born. Casey is a three legged shepherd/hound mix... he lost his leg because his previous owners didn't bother to have a broken leg cared for.... he lived with it that way for a year... I adopted him as he was having his surgery. Then came Willie.... my first dachshund, though I've always admired them. I've been reading the message board, and as I do, I think of Willie's sweet nature and his intelligence
.... I cannot imagine the pain that these little dogs must feel when their trust and loyalty is so horribly betrayed. And I would like to do something about it by giving a loving home to one who needs it.
