Need to vent... I hate Home Improvement! I hate painting, flooring, repairing.... all of it. I am trying to do some repairs to our home as we are being relocated and I have to put it up for sale. I figured I could put it up as-is and take a huge hit, or spend a couple of thousand dollars and make a good bit more, not to mention probably sell it faster. But, my husband has already moved. He's able to come home on the weekends and help woth the big projects, so the majority of it falls on my shoulders. So, I'm juggling the 2 kids, 4 dogs, 2 more weeks left of work, holidays, housework...etc... Which, by the way, it is impossible to keep a clean house while remodeling. I really think I'm going to lose my mind before this is over. What really sucks is I've been wanting to do this for a long time, just not all at once. And, once that it's finished, we'll be moving to a new house and I'll have to do it all over again. :( Sorry for the rant.
One bit of good news though, on a trip to Sam's last night I broke down and bought a digital camera so that I can take pics of the progress and send them to my hubby. Maybe I can sneak in a few puppy pics, too. (That's if I can figure out how to connect the dock to this @%&$#! computer.)

No need to apologize for the rant. We all need a good one once in a while. I've done my share of ranting this year. Some of my friends are probably sick of hearing it. Anyway, sending hugs to you. :hugs1: :hugs1: That's a lot to be doing all by yourself. I suggest you send the kids to live with dad while you do it. :D It would at least make it easier for you!

Heeheeeheeeee... Connie! Always love to see you around- even just to do a little venting! :D
It sounds like you DESERVE the venting- OUCH. You'll get through this intact, though. And it WILL be worth it. Stay well! :hugs1:

Oh yes...vent away! I do understand, we're doing some remodelling projects ourselves right now..and it drives me completely NUTS not to be able to have a perfectly neat and organized house at the end of every day! Personally, I think I'm only cut out for remodelling projects that take less than one day - otherwise it's too darn stressful!
:hugs1: :hugs1: - you too will get through this - just in time to start in on your new house!

I know it can be frustrating. I was left in that mess in Colorado when David had moved here to MS.
Get the house ready to sell, fix this and that.
Its a giant load to handle.
Glad you bought a camera, now we can see the babies.
Geez, then I ask you to help with transport again for the new 8.
And you said YES... BLESS YOU
Your quite the lady :hugs1: :hugs1:

Good luck with your projects! I love the idea of remodeling and fixing but do not have the talent or the patience! I think that's why haven't looked for a house or condo after I moved from my house a couple of years ago. Wish we lived closer, my son loves to remodel etc (as long as it is not his own house) and is quite good - he would be under your feet all the time.

No news yet... I ran into a snag in my bathroom as I was replacing the flooring, I discovered the wax ring around my toilet is bad and apparently has been leaking for sometime. So, I've got the old floor torn out and Jeremy is going to help me fix the ring this afternoon. But, I don't want to reseat it until the floor is finished, so it looks like we'll be down to one potty for next week. :flush:
Aside from that, everything else is just moving very slowly. I am hoping to have a garage sale next weekend, b/c I know if I don't do it then, it'll be another 3 weeks before we could possibly do it again.
All this and I still haven't started my Christmas shopping! :crying:
