My sister's lab passed away on Saturday. She had been diagnosed with bone cancer last month and had her front leg amputated 2 weeks after. My sister and her husband and their dogs (Moh and Java) were vacationing in Cape Cod last week and Moh got real sick on Friday. They took her to Boston for treatment but she was unable to pull through.
Moh was rescued by my sister Mary from the Humane Association - actually both dogs were. It's been a great loss to all who knew Moh. She was such a sweet girl.

My brother is the lab person in our family. Moh looks like she was a sweet girl and I know that she is waiting at the bridge with all the other pups who have gone before. She is restored to health and able to run and play ball again. Tell your sister and her husband that we are here for them (labs are just large dachshunds with longer legs).

What a pretty face!
I know she's well again. I've never met a Lab I didn't immediately love- they're just wonderful creatures. My heart goes out to her loved ones. :hugs1:
Our sincere sympathies to your family. It is so hard to lose a furkid.

My sister and her husband, along with myself want to say thank you to all who posted such wonderful words in response to Moh's passing. Mary received a new angel on Christmas Day - a new little black lab puppy that they've named "Em" - short for Emma but like "M" for Moh. Java, Mary's seven year old lab is happy to have another dog around. She was really missing Moh.

What a beautiful name Emma, Em for short. I love it. Having a puppy in the house will stir things up and keep things hopping. It's good to be busy when you're grieving. That plus a puppy is sure to bring laughs and smiles. Congratulations to your sister and her family.
