The whole pack is going to get to try their paws & noses at a Field trial this weekend! This is the first one we've been able to go to... I'm hoping they will enjoy it. Unlike Earthdog you can at least see what the dogs are doing!

Good for them! I wish there were some events like that close to me. Have they ever done wabbit huntin' as 'professionals' or is this their first time out?

Up until now they have just been 'yard sniffers' :D They better do just as well when Hoo-mom has to pay for them to play ;)

Sophie and Lili will give the kids some pointers. I am so excited. If you would have told me this time last year I would be so excited about something like a field trial...I would have explained how nuts you were... Now I am the one who is nuts! Sophie already has a 4th place ribbon from our first FT. Just remember you *have* to be there and have your entry turned by 7:00 am!! Where are you? I can find out where the closest ones are. These are not really "close" to us. Generally a field trial is a 2 to 10 hour drive...so yea you have to stay the weekend at a hotel.

Yes, getting there before the crack of dawn is one of the draw backs... but I never get to sleep much later than 5:30 am anyway even on the weekends.
We'll be leaving McKinney around 2:00 PM Friday to miss traffic going though Dallas.... I've had enough of that this week.

The next trial is in Printess Miss. I think that is about an hour from you. We will be going and we will manage to come visit you at some point. Prolly, Sat. evening. If you are home that is. I believe it is Jan.8-9. I hope I get to see Beau again but if you find a forever home before then, that would be better.
